I haven’t thought about it yet. But I think age milestones can be scary, then you realize it wasn’t so bad when you pass it.

Heck no! My forties have been a blast. Especially since my daughter came of age. People ask for beauty tips and secrets. And I wouldn’t trade the peace of mind and joy God’s given.

You see, it’s not the number but how you use your days that matters. When you have a God-centered mindset and lifestyle those fears never enter your head. You’re busy chasing the mark He set and enjoying the spoils He’s given.

I'm 37, so it is creeping up...

It will be a blessing from God if it comes, just as it will be a blessing if it doesn't. I try to stay fairly detached from life, because I know it can end at any moment, and the world in a similar way is passing away. "Do not love the world nor the things that are in the world..."

Besides, it really frees me up to worry about more immediate things, like the stray cat that has tried to break into my apartment on several occasions...maybe that's how I'll inaugurate my 40s: I'll get a pet. After all, you can't be a stereotypical 'crazy cat lady'-type single person if you're a man, right? :D

(I have a feeling there is a male equivalent to that, I just don't know what it is. Maybe they're instead surrounded by baseball cards from their youth, or Star Wars collectibles, or who knows what. I'm not that kind of sad, thank God.)

Of course the reversal of aging will probably be possible in my lifetime.. so when I'm 80 I'll have the body of a 30 year old again.

Just not gonna be fun to have an old body for a few decades, lol.

Ok...54 here. I wouldnt go back to being young and insecure again. There is a lot to enjoy as you get older. I might trade this achy body for a younger version...but definitely, not the brain. I have never dreaded getting old, though.

Too late for me...
Same

:lost:

Just slightly younger than the guys in Daft Punk. I find that reminding myself of stuff like this helps keep things in perspective.

No, because I will still look 30 when it happens. ^-^
Sounds like a plan.

I'm in my forties, I look like I'm in my thirties, and I feel like I'm in my twenties. Attitude makes a difference.

I got my cat when I was in my twenties, and he's still alive and well. If you get one now, you might still have the same cat in your 50s. They can live a long time.

Not to scare the younger folks here, but the difference between 29 and 40 is only 11 years. You're not necessarily going to change much over that time. The same applies to older folks too. Many are basically the same people inside, if not outside also, that they were before. They've just been around the sun more times. My siblings are much older than me, and my parents are in their mid 80s, so I have a good perspective on such things.

That said, be careful about what you eat, who you date, and what you do with your time. It's possible to emerge over 40 not much worse the wear. Obviously there's a natural component to aging, but much of what ages a person are milestones and stressors. Stressors like spending too much time in the sun, smoking, and having bad attitude tend to age a person beyond their years, so if those are your issues you might want to consider making changes.
