do you ever feel like you're in the bottom of a pit and you're always clawing to get out of it?

The General Mental Health Forum is now a Read Only Forum. As we had two large areas making it difficult for many to find, we decided to combine the Mental Health & the Recovery sections of the forum into Mental Health & Recovery as a whole. Physical Health still remains as it's own area within the entire Recovery area.
If you are having struggles, need support in a particular area that you aren't finding a specific recovery area forum, you may find the General Struggles forum a great place to post. Any any that is related to emotions, self-esteem, insomnia, anger, relationship dynamics due to mental health and recovery and other issues that don't fit better in another forum would be examples of topics that might go there.
If you have spiritual issues related to a mental health and recovery issue, please use the Recovery Related Spiritual Advice forum. This forum is designed to be like Christian Advice, only for recovery type of issues. Recovery being like a family in many ways, allows us to support one another together. May you be blessed today and each day.

Starting today August 7th, 2024, in order to post in the Married Couples, Courting Couples, or Singles forums, you will not be allowed to post if you have your Marital status designated as private. CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

random: hmm, "kind"...that's not really a word many people use to desribe God and as simple as the word is, it speaks volumes. sorry, just came to mind as i was typing.

I feel like things in life are pits. I pulled myself out last time it took 3 weeks. A week later I'm back in. I usally stay out for alot longer. It's always in and out for me. Sorry I'm not very encouraging. Just once you get out be careful not to fall back in.

I know what that feels like Diva. I've been so deep in before. At times, I was so deep in, that I could imagine myself in the darkest part of the world where absolutely no light existed. I remember learning that the darkest parts of the world are at the bottom of the ocean or inside a cave deep in the Earth. I used to could imagine myself there... It takes so long just to get any (spiritual) light whatsoever! It's like building a machine atom by atom... I'm not sure what keeps me going, and I'm not sure what WILL keep me going through all the years, but somehow I'll keep the hope and keep depending on God.
