Of being so judgemental and un-Jesus like?

The Bible is chock full of Judgement, you're on solid ground. But in the gospels we see something quite a bit different. A messiah who embraced all sinners. Then back to Judgement with Paul.

Kinda seems you all skip over Christ's teachings and focus on Paul. Lots and lots of judgement.

I like Christ's teachings. He instructed me to love everyone, and I strive my best to do so. Its so much less stressful than holding my neighbor in contempt because he goes to the wrong church, or doesn't go at all, or whatever.

Christ taught me how to be happy. I like that.

Thank you Jesus.

You contradict your own premise with your whole post. Pot meet kettle.

Well...do you ever get tired of shooting your mouth off without having the slightest idea of what you're talking about?

(Touche! ;) )

So I guess you just chop Paul out of your Bible? Do you really think that the Bible contadicts itself that way? You don't appear to think that "all Scripture is God-breathed" then, huh? Words of Jesus...words of Paul...all God-breathed.

BTW...I think you're even looking at the gospel through rose-colored, happy clappy glasses. He embraced everybody, huh? Notice...He never lowered His standards. How about the rich young man who went away unhappy? Notice what He told the woman caught in adultry, "Go and sin no more." He didn't let the woman at the well lie complacent in her sin, either.

I like Christ's teachings. He instructed me to love everyone, and I strive my best to do so. Its so much less stressful than holding my neighbor in contempt because he goes to the wrong church, or doesn't go at all, or whatever.

Is the best way to love someone to let them go happily on their way to hell?! There are a lot of happy people on their way to hell, y'know. I don't know any Calvinists that hold other people in contempt. Concern for their souls...yes. Contempt...never.

I think Jesus talked more about judgement that Paul did. Who spoke of hell more, Jesus or Paul. Also, Jesus once called a group of people "children of the devil." Paul also called the Jews killers of the Lord. Sounds to me like they were on the same page.

Did Paul ever say,

Luke 12:5
And I say unto you my friends, Be not afraid of them that kill the body, and after that have no more that they can do.

5But I will forewarn you whom ye shall fear: Fear him, which after he hath killed hath power to cast into hell; yea, I say unto you, Fear him.

Jesus had more things to say regarding judgement and eternal punishment than Paul did. I suggest you re-evaluate your views on both Jesus and Paul.

Even though you were kidding around, I have to say that I don't find Paul's teachings judgmental in the least. Through Paul, after being in a church that pretty much rejected Paul, I found lots of beauty in how God is revealed to us. I found lots of love and acceptance instead of the constant worrying and wondering if God really cared about us at all because I constantly felt I had to prove myself to him. I finally rest in Him as He called me to do when He claimed me.

Oh....I get it now. You just like to poke sticks into hornet's nests. It all makes sense now. ;)
Exactly! When bored what livens thing up more than aggravating folk that can disembowel you? Its kind of like poking a sleeping grizzly with a sharp stick. You know boredom is soon to end and interesting times are ahead. ^_^

Hmmmm:
Pro 26:18-19 Like a madman who throws firebrands, arrows, and death (19) is the man who deceives his neighbor and says, "I am only joking!"
Eph 5:4 Let there be no filthiness nor foolish talk nor crude joking, which are out of place, but instead let there be thanksgiving.
But then, that last one was only Paul.
