God can do nothing with someone who feels they are accomplishing anything of themselves. He must bring each of us to the end of our strength and struggling before He can have His perfect way with us. Romans 12:1-2, Galatians 2:20.... So while it may very well feel like a person is having a rough time and they are doing nothing, it may well be that they are in the potter's hands in the process of being remolded into a vessel that will bring Him much honor and glory indeed.

Is Andy Stanley right and this is when God is doing His greatest work?

YouTube

To me, the greatest work of God is the salvation of a man.

But teaching the regenerated man to then walk by faith ... and not by sight, or 'evidence'?
Yes, this is a great work of God, too.

And yes, God does sometimes give us nothing to see, nothing to feel, no evidence as proof of His presence or working in our life ...
as a means of growing us in faith.

That after all your years of faith and effort, you still see nothing significant your life has offered to God?

When we 'get' how 'little' and insignificant we are ...
and how great and significant is God ...
we then begin to see how truly great is His love for us ...

That after all your years of faith and effort, you still see nothing significant your life has offered to God? That God has no good reason to value you or want you?

That God's presence in your life seems far away?

Gods ways arent ours, so yes, i think so.
when i look back, the darkest years were the ones when God was working on me in significant ways, He still is working on me but those years were where He allowed things to bring me to my knees before Him and those years were necessary so I could know Him as He truely is (so as difficult and dark as those years were I wouldnt trade them).

I havent watch the clip as only have a few minutes, but saw your questions.
God works all things together for good.
