Do you cry when you Sing a song?

I have never listened to Alabaster Box by CeCe Winans without bawling (not really praise and worship, though).

i cry sometimes. but the song has to touch me and i have to really be thinking about the words to the song.
Crying is one of the ways i know i'm in true worship mode. because i just don't cry if i'm not. but yet i don't always cry when i am in worship mode.

Oh yes! Mostly when I am home though and listening to music such as Mercy Me "I can only imagine" and "heart of worship" and really deep meaning songs. BUt like I said it is mostly at home, I really wish i could do that at church.

I second what Rhonda/Tekoa says. I put the words to our worship songs up on the screen at church so I'm kinda side-tracked during worship at church. But when I'm at home listening to songs by Annie Meadows or while watching the John Tesh Worship at Redrocks CD . . .there isn't enough Kleenex in the house!

Thats an interesting quetion, I dont normally cry when I am singing, but alot more when we have "meditation" like when they show a video clip with some music behind it, right after the pastor has given an awesome sermon. I seem to cry more when I pray as a group alot of the time we have a time to go pray with friends and thats when I get emotional.

Yes! I too cry when a song is specifically worship or praise to God or to Christ Jesus. One day I was listening to a woman sing; I got an overwhelming feeling and began to tear up. I have heard the song she sung a hundred times but still it just really got me. I love to sing and find mysself crying when I am in worship. I asked, "Lord, what is this??? What am I feeling and why is it so overwhelming?" I clearly hear an answer in within my heart. "You are sensing My presense." Then I remembered the Scripture that states that God is enthroned in the praises of Israel (His people). Psalms 22:3 So when we (His people) are praising Him, He comes and inhabits those praises. In sensing His presence you are brought to tears. That is how I understand it...

Sometims when I sing I cry. Holy spirit fill me so that I cannot not cry. In this moment I feel presence of God so near, I feel His love not like usualy.My heart is being filled by thanksgiven to God more and more.
