Watch out for those dogs, those evildoers, those mutilators of the flesh. For it is we who are the circumcision, not them. We who boast in Christ Jesus.
The temple isn't standing any longer so Christians couldn't "keep" the commandments associated with that part of it...
...Other groups like to pick and choose which commandments they keep.
I don't pick and choose, Christ has done that for us. The law of marriage is still a written law for Christians. And so are some other commandments.
Christ didn't pick and choose. He approved of the whole Law of Moses.
Reading most everything you post I really don't think that is what you're trying to promote. Just another side issue to promote law keeping. The dogs are those that teach circumcision. Am i a dog for teaching the Law of marriage and fornication? Are these not commandments from God even for Christians?
If any part of the law is void it is all void as James ilustrates in 2:10, 11.Yes but Circumcision is void along with sacrificial laws as far as Christians are concerned. Any law that relates to love and holiness is good.

As a law pusher would argue marriage is before the law and thus outside of the law. Marriage was created and sanctioned in the garden. Now divorece is part of the law.Is the law of marriage void?

If tunnel vision is the problem why are the 10 Cs being pushed with this reference when Jesus leaves some out and quotes another part of the law. I think it shows that Jesus isn't promoting the 10 Cs or even the law. I think that Jesus is answering the man's question without condemning him. So is Jesus' intent to show that the law can or can't secure eternal life. After all the man testified that he kept the law yet left knowing that he didn't have eternal life and must have been condemned because even his attitude is mentioned. Why is this? If one keeps any of the law aren't they obligated to the whole law as both James a Paul indicate?I fully agree! What is the question being asked? Doesn't it include the young man's personal actions? He did ask what good thing shall I do- didn't he? What does Eph 2:8-9 say? - For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:
9Not of works, lest any man should boast.
Is there a boast in his testimony? Yes! Especially considering the good thing that I do part of the quesion. Eternal life can't be earned, it is a gift - Rom 6:23. The commandment love thy neighbor as thyself isn't part of the law that is valid - remember it was nailed to the cross as it isn't one of the 10 Cs.

All unrighteousness is the transgression of the law, just as fornication is the transgression of the law. Those who are born of God do not transgress the righteousness of the law, because it is written in their hearts and minds.
John 3:6; Whosoever abides in him sins not, whosoever sins has not seen him, neither known Him.

I think you mean 1 John 3:6, not John 3:6All unrighteousness is the transgression of the law, just as fornication is the transgression of the law. Those who are born of God do not transgress the righteousness of the law, because it is written in their hearts and minds.
