Where oh where do you get cherished sin from? Did Studious One admit something to you by PM or did I really miss a post with something like that in it. Please don't tell me I missed something reallly jucy. All sin get the same punishment from God - death. One can be born twice and die once or be born once and die twice. Take your pick.A cherish sin and an expressly sin doesn't counted. You can not generalize sin.
But the point is not about sin and being forgiven, but about are you saved in sin or are you saved from sin, means you become a perfect righteous and sinless believer at the end of your Christian life?
Yes I know the verse well. Now if I could just get you to comment on what that means. Which set of commandments do you suppose this refers to as found in John 15:10 - Jesus' commandments or His Father's commandments? What does the faith of Jesus mean to you? Are you just going to say nothing and get upset when I try and show what I think it means becuase you don't like it?
I've been going back through the thread on this beseeches matter and arrived at this post quoting Sheina. I don't understand at all what the 2 posts have in common other than a reply to a quoted post being together.Thats not exacly what Paul says. Paul beseeches us to comply with His teaching of abstaining from fornication and other works of the flesh and to live in the spirit which is love, he does this continuously throughout the NT epistles.
Let us try this:Jesus commandments are what the spirit tells me they are by the word of Jesus and His apostles. You can tell me what you think faith is im listening.
You didn't miss anything, scratch. You see, when one can't prove a message is wrong by using the Word of God, one has to resort to attacking the messenger.Where oh where do you get cherished sin from? Ding! Ding! Ding! Ding! Ding! And that penalty comes from the law.
Forsaking
All
I
Trust
Him
Faith is not doing the law...faith is believing on Christ.
Let us try this:
My commandments are...
My Father's commandments are...
Jesus kept these commandments....
Forsaking
All
I
Trust
Him
Faith is not doing the law...faith is believing on Christ.
Ya,
but...
The more the words, the less the meaning, and how does that profit anyone?
Love, there is none other commandment greater than these.
Peace.

I responded to the beseeching aspect because of your insistance on following rules (law) as opposed to following the leading of the Holy Spirit.
So help poor misunderstanding scratch out please.
If the spirit which is leading you, does not lead you deeper into the Word [all of it] for meaning, direction, guidance, lifestyle, and understanding God in all manners of situations.. what does that say about the spirit that is leading you?
IF the spirit that is leading you, leads you to believe that the Father and Son are teaching two different things, leads you to believe that there is a difference between before and after in God's intentions, or that parts of scripture the spirit argues against...does that tell you something about the spirit that is leading you?
The law came through Moses. There is one greater than Moses. Men were moved by the HS. Why do you ask?
Are you trying to say that the Spirit that leads us into all truth through Jesus Christ Is not the Fathers Spirit? It is not that Jesus teaches another teaching than the Father it is that Jesus has fulfilled all that was necessary in compleltion for the salvation of mankind and that salvation was never of the law. This is why the law has no jurisdicion over a believer in Christ. For we are seen by the Father through Christ who is our righteousness..Righteousness is not in our doing but In the one Whom He sent.If the spirit which is leading you, does not lead you deeper into the Word [all of it] for meaning, direction, guidance, lifestyle, and understanding God in all manners of situations.. what does that say about the spirit that is leading you?

It is not significant because although Moses was a conduit for the law to the people if Isreal Jesus is our righteousness and only way to get to the Father having fulfilled and completed all that was necessary on our behalf. It may have been written on tablets made of stone and sapphire but Grace and Truth came through Jesus Christ the redeemer of Mankind.Moses was a conduit, used to reach God's people. The law originated with God, was written with His finger in tablets of stone made of sapphire. How that could be counted as not significant by anyone is beyond me.
