One among us has asked for specific help. Do we send her away with a prayer and an empty cup, or do we do what 38 Site Supporters have done for this place? If 38 of us put $5 in that cup, that would be a $190 difference.

very true!! we should help physically if it's possible to do so, for God can use us to be answers to prayers.

May we all learn how important it is to give to others without expecting anything in return, and to give to those who can't give back.

I just read the entire thread.  You would think that with all the people who come here and read these threads, the response would be greater.  I admit, I had not even read it until today, and it has convicted me.  I for one want to do something.  I hope God deals with others the same way.

AMEN and what a Gift it would make for Dianne!!! I suspect it is rather cool in South Carolina now! At any rate you are right about it helping the site and being a great witnessing tool! It could also help the site to grow, and bring in more loving and caring Christians.

You are soooooooooooo right!!! And what an unspeakable blessing it is. I hope many in these forums will know that blessing by sharing even a little with Dianne and her family this year!

With the amount of people reading these forums every day, even a small percentage of people taking action would be a tremendous blessing to her and her family!!  Every little bit counts.

I remember when I needed help when it was just me and my 3 small children.  People I didn't even know filled the bed of a pickup truck with food and toys for us.  I've never forgotten that.  I still have a cracker tin from that.  I use it every day.  That was about 15 years ago.  It makes quite an impression.

There are times, though, that all we can do is pray.  I feel so helpless when I hear of someone needing help, but I'm not able to do anything about it.  I know it's not possible to help every single person who needs it, but the feeling is still there.

I keep thinking, "What if it were me?"  It was at one time.  I know the feeling.  I never want others to feel the way I did. 

I hope others find it in their hearts to reach out to someone who needs it.  The rewards are tremendous.

Praise God WW for your generous heart! I am sure you will be blessed many times over for your kindness. We also need to remember that there are many "Diane's" out in the world and be thankful for those who have been able to help them out as well. Thank God for His blessings that can be shared with others.

I like to say that sometimes when you do help out and pray and act there is no other feeling in the world. This way you serve God the way he intended you to by serving others and that is reward enough. Just think of God smiling becasue only He knows your prayer and Actions. and He knows the effect of love it shows the person(s) and the best part is they never know or will that you did these things, and that God was there the whole time watching and waiting and it is his will to be done I hope I worded that right.
