This is pretty much the only way to understand it since any non-material state is not demonstrable. No one has ever demonstrated that there is n afterlife, a soul, an ethereal plain, ghosts, gods, etc. I mean, you can make-up whatever you want with regard to the non-material and while there's no way to be proven wrong, there's also no way to demonstrate what you're presenting to be valid. So, this is what we can show. That brain activity and consciousness is undetachable from the physical brain.You understand it via materialism

All evidence is not created equal. People talking about things can be evidence that something is going on that needs further investigation, but it's not evidence of what's actually happening in the real world in and of itself. Testimony is notoriously unreliable. And, yes, I know that it's annoying to be asked to provide evidence for claims, but that's just how it is. That's how we actually learn about reality and what is actually true and not just made up. People can say all kinds of things are true. When they get annoyed when asked to provide evidence for their claims instead of just presenting the evidence it's telling.I can annoy you by asking for evidence…
