• Starting today August 7th, 2024, in order to post in the Married Couples, Courting Couples, or Singles forums, you will not be allowed to post if you have your Marital status designated as private. Announcements will be made in the respective forums as well but please note that if yours is currently listed as Private, you will need to submit a ticket in the Support Area to have yours changed.

  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Do True Christians stop wrong doing?

Some of the other Brothers and Sisters on another thread have made it clear to me that Christians still continue to sin after they have been born again.
True Christians always ask forgiveness of their sins.

I now know that I can still enter the Kingdom of Heaven as long as i confess my sins. I like to have sex with Sisters in the Church and I know it is wrong but as long as I ask forgiveness Jesus forgives me because sex can be a sin just like any other.

Is that clear?

We all agree?

You've done this thread before haven't you?

I don't agree with you, but I'm sure you'll find a lot of religious people not quite ready to make changes in their lives who believe they can confess with nothing behind it but ritual and all will be well.

Your (Your here being a general you.. not a personal your) intent to continue an act you believe to be in opposition to your faith would indicate a lack of interest in growing in that faith.

Christians continue to do wrong because being a person who NEVER makes a mistake, causes harm, or does something wrong is nearly impossible. Perfection is just not a human trait.

The other Brothers and Sisters helped clear this question up.
We are all saying the same thing but in different ways.

I agree with you.
We must confess our sins and really mean it but that does not mean the Christian stops sinning they say.

We must ask Jesus to forgive us and mean it.

I like sex you might be a liar. We all have our weaknesses. Our sins will not stop us from entering in the Kingdom of Heaven is we confess our sins.

We are all saying the same thing.

The fact that there are Christians who claim that evolution is correct is proof that Christians are not perfect. Believers are viewed by GOD through the blood of the LORD JESUS CHRIST. That makes them righteous.

AMEN !

I agree.

We are all sinners.

I have sex with Sisters in the Church in moments of weakness. Your sins may be different or do you lust after Church Sisters like me?

<confession of current sin and past sin>?
Uh dude, if you're not trolling... we don't really want to know about your past sins here (maybe some do.. but not very many).
Second repent and seek not for it again.

Christians will still continue to sin even if they do not plan to.

Correct?
as whole they won't reach perfection till after the second coming... however sin and the overcoming and turning away from it is on a personal level that depends on the individual. many have turned away from sin and not returned to it like a dog to it's vomit. If they do it again, it's like their repentence did not take place.
However because one person does it, does that make it justifiable for another to do it?

Yes. A very strong point there Brother.
We Christians are like dogs returning to their vomit everytime we sin but the good news is Jesus forgives us everytime.

Have faith in Jesus.

I might go to see a Sister this week for a Bible study she is very attractive but I must not focus on that.
