I recommend you read sometime a book by the noted psychotherapist Albert Ellis, entitled "Against Religiosity," in which he points out many examples of religious ideation which would easily qualify as highly neurotic thinking, one of which is refusing to go on modern scientific thinking.

I'll bet it's ecumenical in its approach.

I do the same with science, but I've made it known that I'm not against all science: just the science that is against the Bible.

Does that book do the same? or does it lump Independent Fundamental Baptists in with Mormons?

No, the excuse failed. The serpent was punished because he disobeyed, Eve was punished because she didn't trust God. Adam was punished because he lost his faith that God would provide another helper. Had the excuse worked, none of them would have been punished.

Sin entering the world is not conferred to Eve, she was deceived. Adam knew better, but did not trust God to provide another helper. He willingly chose to fall with Eve, because he did not trust God to provide another helper for him. Remember, before this all the animals were brought before Adam to be named, male and female. No helper was found for him. I believe because of fear of being alone - and lack of faith that God would provide another helper - he chose to fall with Eve instead.

God is Mind/knowledge/Wisdom. We were meant only to contain the knowledge of good - the image given to us at the start. Through disobedience we also gained the knowledge of evil, which made us like God, but unable to control it without His help.
It is knowledge alone, our mind that makes us the image of God. Not some mythical soul.

The unicorn mentioned in the Bible had the characteristics of a lion. The Bible mentioned the unicorn as having great strength and a proud heart. An untamed, unattainable beast that interestingly skipped like a calf would skip.
It is often regarded that Rhinos were the unicorn mentioned in the Bible, but do you see Rhinos skipping like calves? No.

Of course id din't, because it was a prophesy of the future which has not occurred yet. So why would I think it did occur to that serpent, the devil, at that time, since it was prophesy of the future????
