The unicorn, whether is was a real animal or not, is still only symbolic regardless of what it was. IT may refer to a type of cow or steer, or something similar, but regardless even that is just symbolic of its true meaning.

Well, I can't speak for Derek, but personally, my heart has no capacity for knowledge. My head does, and it tells me that Lucy was not a hoax.

Perhaps we should all try to think with our heads a little more often....

It's quite a bold statement you're making accusing respected scientists etc of lying, I'm curious as to what extent you've studied the bones and in what way you're qualified to dispute their findings.

Lucy is touted as some kind of nested thing somewhere between ape and man when, in reality, Lucy was a human being that was punished by one of God's "wonderful plagues" that altered her bone structure.

Deuteronomy 28:59 Then the LORD will make thy plagues wonderful, and the plagues of thy seed, even great plagues, and of long continuance, and sore sicknesses, and of long continuance.

Kind David would probably have been mistaken for a Cro-magnon or Neanderthal at his death (Psalm 38).

Note: After looking at pics of Cro-magnon and Neanderthal, I see I'll have to come up with another species, as they walked upright.
