If you follow the true gospel and believe in Christ and accept His gift of eternal life there is nothing to worry about, you have the assurance that faith gives. But if you have turned and gone down a wrong path, your brother may be the one who the Spirit leads to bring you back. So hold on tight to your brothers in Christ as the Spirit will guide you into all truth so that you may be the 'wheat' amoung the 'tares'.

The Parable of the Wheat and the Tares

24Jesus told them another parable: " The kingdom of heaven is likened unto a man which sowed good seed in his field:
25But while men slept, his enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat, and went his way.
26But when the blade was sprung up, and brought forth fruit, then appeared the tares also.
27So the servants of the householder came and said unto him, Sir, didst not thou sow good seed in thy field? from whence then hath it tares?
28He said unto them, An enemy hath done this. The servants said unto him, Wilt thou then that we go and gather them up?
29But he said, Nay; lest while ye gather up the tares, ye root up also the wheat with them. 30Let both grow together until the harvest: and in the time of harvest I will say to the reapers, Gather ye together first the tares, and bind them in bundles to burn them: but gather the wheat into my barn." Matthew 13:24-30

Exactly! He led us to accept him and we have nothing to worry about in Christ. He has given us the Holy Spirit to live IN us as a guarantee and nothing can separate us from his love. Praise Jesus!

you have the assurance...
...of salvation...

...that faith gives.
That GOD gives by grace through faith.

But if you have turned and gone down a wrong path, your brother may be the one who the Spirit leads to bring you back.
That's why I have two accountability partners (one who reads my comments here anonymously), plus my wife.

So hold on tight to your brothers in Christ as the Spirit will guide you into all truth so that you may be the 'wheat' amoung the 'tares'.
The Holy Spirit unites all believers together as ONE body/church. It is not the result of us being able to 'hold on tight'. It is the supernatural work of the Holy Spirit. There is nothing to fear. Love casts out all fear, and God IS love.

As long as Jesus is the 'all truth' I'm completely with you. That is not a loose statement. Jesus is our everything! The minute you try to turn 'all truth' into anything else, I depart ways from you and will ALWAYS stick with Christ alone. It's the Holy Spirit that 'pulls us together'.

Yes, but you set aside the fact that God and Jesus are in harmony, so you must study Gods word, pray, and listen so the Spirit can lead you into truth, and not use 'chants or slogans' to block out or shield yourself from the truth He brings....

Redd, God (Father, Spirit, Son) are in complete harmony, and God is true to his promises. I have not said anything that doesn't confirm this.

 Chants or slogans???

Scripture tells us that reading Moses will cause a veil that blocks us from the truth, Jesus himself.

Free,

Where is this? I would like to read it.
2CO 3:1 Are we beginning to commend ourselves again? Or do we need, like some people, letters of recommendation to you or from you? 2 You yourselves are our letter, written on our hearts, known and read by everybody. 3 You show that you are a letter from Christ, the result of our ministry, written not with ink but with the Spirit of the living God, not on tablets of stone but on tablets of human hearts.

2CO 3:4 Such confidence as this is ours through Christ before God. 5 Not that we are competent in ourselves to claim anything for ourselves, but our competence comes from God. 6 He has made us competent as ministers of a new covenant--not of the letter but of the Spirit; for the letter kills, but the Spirit gives life.

2CO 3:7 Now if the ministry that brought death, which was engraved in letters on stone, came with glory, so that the Israelites could not look steadily at the face of Moses because of its glory, fading though it was, 8 will not the ministry of the Spirit be even more glorious? 9 If the ministry that condemns men is glorious, how much more glorious is the ministry that brings righteousness! 10 For what was glorious has no glory now in comparison with the surpassing glory. 11 And if what was fading away came with glory, how much greater is the glory of that which lasts!

2CO 3:12 Therefore, since we have such a hope, we are very bold. 13 We are not like Moses, who would put a veil over his face to keep the Israelites from gazing at it while the radiance was fading away. 14 But their minds were made dull, for to this day the same veil remains when the old covenant is read. It has not been removed, because only in Christ is it taken away. 15 Even to this day when Moses is read, a veil covers their hearts. 16 But whenever anyone turns to the Lord, the veil is taken away. 17 Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom. 18 And we, who with unveiled faces all reflect the Lord's glory, are being transformed into his likeness with ever-increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit.

2CO 4:1 Therefore, since through God's mercy we have this ministry, we do not lose heart. 2 Rather, we have renounced secret and shameful ways; we do not use deception, nor do we distort the word of God. On the contrary, by setting forth the truth plainly we commend ourselves to every man's conscience in the sight of God. 3 And even if our gospel is veiled, it is veiled to those who are perishing. 4 The god of this age has blinded the minds of unbelievers, so that they cannot see the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God. 5 For we do not preach ourselves, but Jesus Christ as Lord, and ourselves as your servants for Jesus' sake. 6 For God, who said, "Let light shine out of darkness," made his light shine in our hearts to give us the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Christ.

2CO 4:7 But we have this treasure in jars of clay to show that this all-surpassing power is from God and not from us. 8 We are hard pressed on every side, but not crushed; perplexed, but not in despair; 9 persecuted, but not abandoned; struck down, but not destroyed. 10 We always carry around in our body the death of Jesus, so that the life of Jesus may also be revealed in our body. 11 For we who are alive are always being given over to death for Jesus' sake, so that his life may be revealed in our mortal body. 12 So then, death is at work in us, but life is at work in you.

2CO 4:13 It is written: "I believed; therefore I have spoken." With that same spirit of faith we also believe and therefore speak, 14 because we know that the one who raised the Lord Jesus from the dead will also raise us with Jesus and present us with you in his presence. 15 All this is for your benefit, so that the grace that is reaching more and more people may cause thanksgiving to overflow to the glory of God.

2CO 4:16 Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day. 17 For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. 18 So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen. For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.

The Jews had a vast number of rules around the law trying to follow the letter of the law instead of letting the Spirit guide them in all things even in obedience of the law which is part of its work.

Red, I have been reported by your cohorts over there a total of SIX TIMES since your so-called 'truce' went into effect! :| I kept my part for as long as I could, but it has now become necessary that I report offences against my person, or I am just allowing myself to get railroaded.

No, I have no desire whatsoever to be in the same forum as some of these malicous, vidictive, intolerant people.

Separate. Split the forum.

It is time.

Yes they did. But when we're talking here about 'following the law', we're not talking about the rules the Jews came up with to prevent breaking the law. We're talking about the law itself, as commanded by God to Israel as a covenant between Himself and them.

THAT'S what they broke. I couldn't give two hoots about what the Jews added.

In response to Mary's request to see Jesus, He made this statement..

Mt 12:48 But he answered and said unto him that told him, Who is my mother? and who are my brethren?49 And he stretched forth his hand toward his disciples, and said, Behold my mother and my brethren!
50 For whosoever shall do the will of my Father which is in heaven the same is my brother, and sister, and mother.

(,Ps 40:8 I delight to do thy will, O my God: yea, thy law is within my heart.)

Red--brethren are those who AGREE. Just as in the day of Pentecost. ONE MIND ONE ACCORD!!

We have NONE of this here. Our two groups are about as separate as two groups can be. We agree on practically NOTHING.

I agree--split the forums.
