Which Catholic bible includes 4th Esdras?

Well, first and foremost the Vulgate, which was the most common Christian Bible for nearly 1000 years - though there wasn't just one "Vulgate", but many different versions with different books. Others too. But, first, some names need to be clarified.

The naming of "4 Esdras" is a mess - different Bibles name it differently. It's sometimes called Latin Esdras" or "2 Esdras", or "the apocalypse of Ezra" or other names, and even with those any books of any of these names can have parts or other parts of these and other books.

The most common Bibles to have it are older Catholic Bibles (like some of the many "Vulgates"), the Gregorian Orthodox Bible, the Slavonic Bible, Armenian, Syrian, and the Orthodox Tewahedo (where it is called "Sutu'el"). Some of these are listed in the row for "2 Esdras" in the table here:

Yes, confusing - but there it is.

I read the message you linked to, and ironically, I believe the person who wrote it appears to be adding to the word of God...

The person appears to be saying we can do all of the following signs if we believe:

Mark 16:17-18 NKJV "And these signs will follow those who believe: In My name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues; they will take up serpents; and if they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover."

I believe Jesus' words. But I also believe in keeping things in context. It is important to note that these signs only happen according to God's will. It's God's choice to use whomever He desires to do these things, not ours. And just because you cannot do all of these things, it doesn't mean you are not a believer or that you don't have the Holy Spirit in you, as some falsely say.

It's not about what we want to do, but about what God wills.

The Scripture that you quoted is from a portion of Mark's gospel whose authenticity is highly disputed. Since it doesn't appear at all in the earliest texts I wouldn't use it as an example of what Jesus spoke.

And especially not as an example before telling people not to add to scripture, when this scripture got there because people added it to scripture!

(which is what you meant, I'm pretty sure)

God's Word is His will... and Word/Faith believes, excepts, and teach the entire passage in (Mark 16:17-18). The context IS... "And these signs will follow those who believe" (whosoever)!

Please be advised that if you are not a Word of Faith member of this forum... You are not allowed to teach here.

Thank You!

I disagree with your understanding of the text. But don't worry, I won't bother you anymore.

Actually, all of the responses (from you guys) to the original poster (OP).... are not worrisome or a bother at all. That isn't it. Every forum on CF have Christian Forum Rules or (Christian Site Rules), and Congregational Rules to abide by, and each individual forum has its own Statement of Faith core of beliefs, (SOF).... and each forum's Statement of Purpose, (SOP) may have some differences in their general rules and purpose.

The "Word of Faith" forum is set up with Congregational Rules in that any teaching must be in line with the faith movement or denomination's teaching; participants who teach here must hold to the beliefs of this forum, those who don't are welcome to fellowship with us... but otherwise cannot promote a teaching outside of the movement or denomination.

We all share the CF Forum Vision with a discipleship mission of evangelism and witnessing the Love of Jesus Christ to a sick and dying world. We all share and desire to contribute in a positive and loving manner so that Christian Forums will display the gracious love of God in every area of this forum.

I hope this is more helpful with better clarification.

Exactly,so we must look for the origin of the translation.
Egypt= critical text.
Antioch = Texus Recptus

Egypt had no role in Bible Translation that was not corrupt.
