Another bully-comedian who won't respond to a post, but prefers one-liners laced with ...
First and foremost, let your yes be yes and your no be no...this diatribe is a fluffy marshmallow that (again) fails to address freewill or choice. Are you modifying your post or just uncertain as to what you believe ? Getting a straightforward answer here is nearly impossible.
Read my initial post (#199) in this thread. I said there as straight forward as I can say it my response to the OP.
As for my beliefs and the answer to your questions, I've made exactly three posts on this thread. If you are really seeking to understand my point of view, it is there. It is even as clear as Yes and No, though I believe your understanding of Jesus use of that phrase misses his point. As for why I have told my stories as I have, I will let Jesus speak to that point as well: The knowledge of the secrets of the kingdom of God has been given to you, but to others I speak in parables, so that, though seeing, they may not see; though hearing, they may not understand' " (Luke 8:10).
For those who have eyes to see, what you seek is there. All others, well, it wouldn't matter what I would write, if they don't get it from the stories I've told, they won't get it from anything else either. This conversation isn't just a couple of hundred posts old, it is hundreds of years old, and shows no signs of being resolved any time soon.
As for the rest of the discussion, I find the bickering produced between Calvinists and Arminians a meaningless debate. Oh, I remember when it used to get my blood hot. And I regret those days. Sure orthodoxy is nice, but everything we read about Jesus in the gospels convinces me he valued orthopraxis more.
