I have been told two conflicting answers from Christians.
Some have told me that Jews go to heaven because they are God's chosen people. However, the same person will quote Jesus saying, "NO ONE come to the father but by ME."

So, there seems to be conflicting answers.
It is as difficult to enter into the gates of Heaven as it is for a camel to thread himself through the eye of a needle.

There is absolutely no one that enters heaven but through the Gate, who is Christ.

It is not the Christian way though, to speculate on who actually enters it into heaven and who does not. Our only commission is to spread the good news of Christ as the gate of heaven.

But for the grace of God, absolutely noone enters heaven.
Through the grace of God though, absolutely anything is possible.

Hmmm......so a person (we'll call him Jewish) can deny Jesus Christ, yet still go to Heaven?

That's not biblical.

There is certainly a lot of confusing teaching out there.
We only have to look at God's Word, for the answers.

Salvation is by Faith.
We can't believe in the true God...and not believe in His Son.

There has always been unjust antisemitism in the world or has the millions killed in WWII death camps been forgotten? To this day, there are people who hate the house of Judah from where the Jews come from and the only other that stands as witness on earth to the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob besides the Christian.
There are many people who are Jewish, today, who worship and accept Jesus as the Messiah, and they are just as accepted as any other group of people into the fold of the Great Shepherd, Jesus.
The devil has hated the Jews for ages, as he knew that the "lion of Judah" and "King of Kings", Himself, would come through the seed of Jacob's son, Judah. He tried several times to prevent the birth of Messiah.
Someday, a remnant of both houses of Israel, along with their companions - the grafted in wild branches, will reunite under one King and leader. It is foretold they will inherit the land with Jesus as King for 1000 years or the last "day" where the earth finally enjoys a sabbath rest from war. Peace will reign Jesus' kingdom.

Jer 3:18 In those days the house of Judah will walk with the house of Israel, and they will come together from the land of the north to the land that I gave your fathers as an inheritance.

Eze 37:12 Therefore prophesy and say unto them, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, O my people, I will open your graves, and cause you to come up out of your graves, and bring you into the land of Israel.
13 And ye shall know that I am the LORD, when I have opened your graves, O my people, and brought you up out of your graves,
14 And shall put my spirit in you, and ye shall live, and I shall place you in your own land: then shall ye know that I the LORD have spoken it, and performed it, saith the LORD.

Is.65:8 ¶ "But I will not destroy them all," says the LORD. "For just as good grapes are found among a cluster of bad ones (and someone will say, ‘Don’t throw them all away—there are some good grapes there!’), so I will not destroy all Israel. For I still have true servants there.
9 I will preserve a remnant of the people of Israel and of Judah to possess my land. Those I choose will inherit it and serve me there.

Revelations 5:9 And they sung a new song, saying, Thou art worthy to take the book, and to open the seals thereof: for thou wast slain, and hast redeemed us to God by thy blood out of every kindred, and tongue, and people, and nation; 10 And hast made us unto our God kings and priests: and we shall reign on the earth.

It depends also on which Jews from which dispensation you're talking of. Rafael is right in saying that those Jews today who accept Jesus' sacrifice on their behalf are saved. However, those Jews who believed in His coming sacrifice by making the sacrifices God ordained in the OT, which pointed forward to His sacrifice, are saved too. They looked forward to His coming deliverance while a lot of Jews today believe in the sacrifice He made two thousand years ago.

Just like the rest of the world, those Jews who do not believe in His sacrifice now, even if they're Orthodox Jews, are not saved. Orthodox Jews are still wanting to carry out the OT sacrifices not believing that their Messiah has already come.

Thank you Tavita.

The Isrealites of Scripture were made a promise by God. God is not a liar and likewise, there will be Jews prior to Christ's arrival upon earth in Heaven and ruling in Heaven. These are the 144,000 that the scriptures speak of.

Indeed, the NT tells us how Abraham and David was saved by 'grace' and not their works, but under the law of the OT -- this was a mystery to them. This mystery was revealed through Christ.

We also find in scripture that Elijah and Enoch were taken by God. God can and will do as He pleases and sometimes many Christians fail to expose this truth when considering the truth that all men shall come before Christ. For sure, the scriptures tell us that all knees shall bow to Christ.

In understanding that YHWH and Christ are one...we must also understand that salvation will be afforded to all, upon God's Will.

This is not saying that a person who 'rejects' Christ will inherit the Kingdom of God ... this condition in one's heart would dictate that person's fate and God would judge accordingly as scripture states.

We have a just judge and despite the long and narrow path that leads to righteousness and few will enter the gates (in consideration of the sheer volumne of people created through all times)...we also find scripture that clarifies as well there will be great crowds. So all things relative to a 'Heavenly' picture or Spiritual perspective rather than an earthly one.

I hope I did well in answering your question. :)

To answer the question:

Neither Jews, or anyone else, are automatically condemned to hell, nor are they automatically taken to heaven.

Any promises made to the children of Israel in Old Testament days were for those people, during those times.

When Christ came the new rules took effect.

Specifically, just as it says in scripture, those who accept Christ as described in the bible, are saved. Those who do not accept Christ are not saved.

Simple, to the point, and right out of scripture.

Dear Beaniboy, those Jews who accepted Christ as their Saviour, will certainly go to be with God, and they call themselves "Messianic Jews," those who are still waiting for their Messiah, the Orthodox Jews, will not, that is what the Bible, God`s Word, tells us. Jesus tells us though, that there will be other sheep, who are His, and He will see to them. Perhaps Jesus will give them a chance before the end of their earthly life, a chance to accept Him as their Messiah, I do not know exactly. But God has made a Covenant with Abraham, and the Jews are the chosen ones, and Jesus came as one of them. God is in Command , and He is a merciful and just God. I also like to point out, HELL is for Satan and his followers, those of us who do not want to go to God, will end up in outer darkness, as Jesus told us. I say this humbly and with assurance, Beaniboy, and send greetings. Emmy, sister in Christ.

Let us take the case of a Jew who was looking to enter the kingdom of Heaven. Nicodemas, you can read it in John 3 remember this was a Jew a very devot Jewish leader who was concerned with pleasing God and doing right. Nicodemeas was very worried about his standing before God and would God to the temple ever day to pay to make sure that he said enough prayers and rituals. When Jesus came in to the temple and Cleansed it from the corrupt preist and merchants who were making a living from the exploting the faithful, who were worried about pleasing God. Nicodumes the Jew came to Jesus to ask for advice on spiritual matters pretain to salvation. Jesus a Jew said to him Unless you are born again you cannot enter the kingdom of heaven, unless you are born of water and the spirit you can enter the kingdom of heaven, why? becuse flesh gives birth to flesh and spirit give birth to spirit. Jesus a Jew is saying the nationlalty, action, desire and belief are not enough to enter heaven, beacse it dose not deal with the problem. The problem is the we are sick. Jesus described our condition as a sickness. We are unrightous(morally bad in God eyes) by nature. That is the flesh, we are proud, lust diven and vain by nature. we need a change in the nature that change can only come by baptizm and the spirt. Why Baptizm? Baptizim is a public confession of our acknowledging our sickness and the getting of help until we do that Jesus cannot help us. The spirt is the the power to do it. It is the medicne for the sickness. Jesus said "My words they are spirit and life" "If you listen to My words you will have eternal life." That is an all or nothing postion. The scripture in the Old testiment(Torah to the Jews) says in isaiah that I will change you heart and give you a new heart. this is the same as being born again. we by nature rebell against God. That has to change inorder to God to heaven and the only way described in the bible for that to happen is to be born again.

As to the choosen people, Jesus validated the Idea of the jew be special in John 4. talking to a half Jew and half Samaratan. He challanged her religous and national identity when he said " salvation comes through the Jews, but there is coming a time that those that worship the father will worship in spirit and is truth" notice Jesus validated the "choosen" position of the Jews, but what were they Choosen to do. The were Choosen to keep a the knowledge of what God was really like alive, his plan to rescue us and his plan to deal with evil and death. This is their "choosen" status. We believe they have fullfilled this. But they still need a change in their nature too. like everyone else.

I've heard some christian televangelists say the same thing (in my understanding). I have relatives who say that too. From my own bible study, I don't see that happening though. God didn't want only those who are circumsized in body, but those who are circumsized in heart, meaning they really love God in their hearts and lives, not just because they did one thing. For those who really love God with all their mind, body, soul, and strength and love their neighbors as themselves, they are God's. Those who don't no matter who their ancestors are, God is personal and will require account for our personal lives and choices. Sin and following sin will get sin's consequence. Wholeheartedly seeking righteousness and getting away from sins He offers everlasting life.

It isn't just head knowledge or doing circumcision or who you are related to, God is even more personal than that, sin is personal too. Who and what are we doing with our lives. God is good way to go and be with, and He can be with us now today all the time (I am thankful for that)

I tend to agree with Judaism (and some Christian schools of thought) on this matter. I'm sure you have heard that Heaven is a state of infinite closeness to God, and that hell is a state of being far from God.

Genesis 2 says that God made man from dust, and breathed life into his nostrils. When men die, their bodies will return to dust and their souls will return to God, where they came from. Now, your life on earth is temporary -- your goal if you so wish to pursue it, is to grow close to the Lord and learn His ways.

I've heard of Heaven compared to a concert, where God is playing the music. Those who know God can appreciate the music, so it is infinitely joyous to them. Those who can't appreciate the music don't enjoy it. Perhaps they're sitting too far away from the Lord to hear the music, or perhaps the music sounds cacophonous or torturous to them.

Christians are 'spiritual Jews', as the Church is 'spiritual Israel'. Ethnicity doesn't gain favor in the eyes of God, He is not biased.

Good point. The term Isrealite and Jew is not exactly interchangable. There is ethnicity and those of a Jewish faith.

The scriptures state that gentile are graphed in along side Jews...not separated. It is difficult to separate oneself from the Jewish faith...although orthodox Jews do not acknowledge Jesus as the Messiah. We stem from the Jewish faith though and are a part of it.

Those who followed the law and perhaps those who still do have a much more difficult path -- the scriptures state, but yet they have received a promise that they can rely one in God. :). I think the separation addressed here between those 'denying' Christ such as the pharisees did...is a large one and as already stated...it is God that chooses who He will save -- not man. Jesus turned to a criminal and stated he would be in paradise. Salvation upon faith is displayed in this. We also see Christ state 'Father, forgive them for they know not what they do.' Knowledge is not the saving grace that God offers us...so for a human to suggest anyone is hellbound would be a fallacy. As another poster stated above...hell is for satan and his followers -- not those who are necessarily lost and who might die. One place in the Bible says the dead is conscious of nothing...this is for some, just as Heaven is for some...as rulers who are Jewish...just as hell is for some. Not a determination of man.

By law, Hell cannot discriminate against people based on their race, national origen, religion (or lack thereof), sex, dissability, age, and one more that escapes my mind in order to determine who can go in.

I think it's crazy because I was just listening to the radio last night and this topic kind of came up. I almost laughed at a few parts when the dj talked about how devine the jewish people were, and how holy. Now I know they have a huge historical purpose not only in the Bible but all over the world, and I believe they have a very important purpose through God even now, but that does not change the fact that they are humans, they do sin, and I believe that even un-saved Jews will go to hell just like us Christians. Jesus says that he hates the proud and the hypocrites, and the arrogant people, does this not apply to Jews? Are they all perfect and not hypocrites, proud or arrogant? God can judge, and he will judge us all in the end.

Agreed, and Paul, filled with the Holy Spirit of God says this -->

Romans 11:25-27

25For I would not, brethren, that ye should be ignorant of this mystery, lest ye should be wise in your own conceits; that blindness in part is happened to Israel, until the fulness of the Gentiles be come in.
26And so all Israel shall be saved: as it is written, There shall come out of Sion the Deliverer, and shall turn away ungodliness from Jacob: 27For this is my covenant unto them, when I shall take away their sins.

Nevertheless;

Romans 2:29
But he is a Jew, which is one inwardly; and circumcision is that of the heart, in the spirit, and not in the letter; whose praise is not of men, but of God.
