Do I have to repent for my Dreams?

I had this really nasty dream last night and it has been bothering me all day, no matter how much I pray for the Lord to protect my mind and sanctify my dreams before I go to bed these dreams keep coming and all day I feel this distance from God. Why is this, How can I stop the dreams and what do I do when they come. I have been reading my bible before bed and that doesn't seem to help either. :sigh: :help:

I personally would not think you would have to repent for your dreams, I mean people usually can't help what they dream, as in it's not really their fault anyway.
But there is a chance you are having those dreams mostly because you are worried about having those dreams, so your subconscious is thinking about it when you are sleeping. Have you thought about facing the dreams and trying to figure out why they are happening in the first place? Sometimes when something is causing a nightmare they keep coming if we don't look at the why and try to fix that, or try to just understand it in some way.

Hi Bloodstained,

I myself have been plagued with horrible dreams that I sometimes suddenly wake from. These dreams are awful hateful and totally in opposition to how I should be as a Christian. This has really worried me lately. I talked to some friends at church about this and was assured that we are not alone in this. All I can suggest is that you place it in the Lords hands through prayer. As 'tturt' says...it won't hurt.

I would suggest that maybe dwelling on this and letting it worry you may not be fruitful and may give the enemy a backdoor into your thoughts. Prayer is the best remedy in my opinion...and who better to be your councilor than the Lord?

:prayer: Dear Lord.. I ask that you be with bloodstained in her sleeping hours and bring thoughts of peace and comfort upon her as she sleeps. Lord, I ask that you reveal to her your wishes and show her what needs to be done so that she can walk closer with you in her waking and sleeping moments. Please Lord I ask that you protect her from the enemy and keep her safe from harm. Put these thoughts far from her and give her strength in faith through her love for you that will keep her firmly planted on your rock. Thank you Lord. In Jesus name...:amen:
