Do creationists critically examine their own ideas (re: creationism)?

Considering that evolution has direct implication in things like antibiotic resistance (where people's health can be at risk), it's a bit of a farce to call that an "illusion".

If creationists have a better explanation for changes in biological populations over time, they're more than welcome to bring it to the table. So far it's a been a big zilch, though.

The OP is asking whether creationists critically examine their ideas. Right now, the majority of the responses I've received lean to me to believe the answer is "not so much".

Based on my discussions with theists over the years, I believe that religious beliefs are primarily emotion in nature. Even your early responses in our discussion (e.g. "I see the many wonders of creation and i know God is real.") speaks to that.

And for clarity, I'm not saying there is anything inherently wrong with an emotional belief. There shouldn't be anything stopping us from at least acknowledging it though.

Finding truth means passionately including God in your knowledge. Any other thinking is stinking.

Take emotion out of the equation and what happens to your idea?

I've always believed that if there really is a supernatural deity, they'll at least have an appreciation for personal honesty as a virtue and they'll see right through petty threats like the above.

Hence why my conclusions in this thread is that creationists, for the most part, do not critically examine their own ideas.

I've been looking into the psychology behind this to try to understand why creationists appear to think differently than non-creationists.
