But the point of Christianity is to believe in truth, not just "to believe".

And to know what is truth requires examination.

No, the point is to be with God the father and love him and worship him and praise him.

We are a family, not of truth, but love and forgiveness and understanding.

I do not know who told you what your telling me, but in Gods family, we worship out of love and faith, not truth.

I studied science in school and saw the work of God even in the study of an eye, as it was with each part of the body. The incredible detail right down to the DNA, praises God for His ingenious ways and purpose in creating. This isn't a part here or there morphing without purpose. Right from the design to the creation, a enormous amount of thought went into the creative work. The more you see God in nature and all its parts the more you see how smart God is and how it is not possible without Him. From micro to macro, the Universe is of His creative work. I am in awe. If He said He did it in six days. I believe Him. I am not going to argue the six days 24 hours or 1 million years. Time is relative in God's world. Being in His court a day is like a thousands years in ours.

Scientific examination of the past is not related to the theological message in the Bible.

The problem arises only when somebody tries to put it together:
1) To read the Bible (ancient writings) in a modern, scientific, literal way (YEC, Flath earth proponents...)
2) To use science against theology (R. Dawkins and similar atheists)

If somebody is teaching you that truth is not important for worship or forgiveness, he is teaching you wrong.

Yes, the truth of God, not that we are seeking truth, we serve and praise and honer truth of god, not each others truth.

But it makes more sense that you are an YEC, if you do not seek the truth and just believe what somebody told you, accepting neither Scriptures nor scientific discoveries.

I have found truth, and this is Jesus, and i tell all to seek him, so your point is not valid.

science is not truth, but only Jesus is truth, and he spoke of all truth and even spoke of creation.

You follow man and his science, I follow God and only his son and no man.

I did not say that 2+2=4 has anything to do with Jesus.

My point was exactly the opposite, I proved that not all truth must have something to do with Jesus, but still can (and should) be accepted as truth. Not as theological truth, but as truth in other areas of our life.

God already told us all the truth , so your truth is not valid.

Who am i going to believe truth from?

Your evolution , or Gods own words?

God created the heavens and the earth in 6 days, and on the 7th day he rested.

The morning and the evening where the first day.
