I think that when we get to heaven, we're all going to be a little surprised with the differences of how we "knew for sure" it was going to be and how it actually is. :)

No matter what, keep seeking. If you know that you're saved and that you have a home in heaven, that's the main thing. But keep seeking out the little nitpicky things and examining for yourself what YOU believe and why. None of us have it exactly, perfectly right.

I've never been to a church that focused on TULIP or discussed the differences in Calvinism and Armenianism. It just isn't the most important issue.

Are there actually any churches who stand firm on a few "main things," but don't have a definite stand on secondary doctrinal issues? It is starting to really bother me when our pastor kind of "puts down" other denominations for their "unbiblical beliefs" (when those beliefs do have a biblical basis, but they just interpret the Bible differently).
This is the same thing that happened to me after 15 years in Bible churches, I finally had enough of it and went on to re-evaluate doctrinally why I shouldn't go back to my Catholic roots. We'll what I discovered really shook me to the core because everything about the Catholic church belief system is consistent and tracible all the back to Christ. I regret ever leaving, letting myself be swayed by those wolves in sheeps clothing.

Um. No it isn't. Not even close.

This, is ironic. "I was swayed by those wolves." "And ran into the mouth of a dragon. I'm safe now."

Thanks though I needed a chuckle today.
