CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Depends on the celeb. Some of them like to keep their image up, some of them are proud, some of them love the spotlight, and some it's just natural. Even then there are some who are given that image and are really nothing like it. Just depends.

I think, unfortunatly, that to some extent they are very smart. They now how to push our buttons for their own ends. We want to be them and they hate themselves becouse they don't exist. They only exist in our imaginations. They're the most seen people and yet they are invisible.

Many celebrities act flambouyant for their image; I believe that Paris Hilton is well aware of the image that she has based on some of the trailers I have seen for House of Wax which initially show her through the lense of a camcorder kissing a boy, all very similar to the controversy which she got picked up for earlier (which coincided with her making a break into popular TV).
They all have an image to sell, an so Paris Hilton is trying to increase her popularity and name recognition through as much.
Others are very private -- Sean Penn is infamous protective of his privacy, and thus I think it would be impossible to really make a definitive statement concerning as much.

Yeah...I agree, and i think it's rediculous how some celebrities act...but ya know I guess they crave attention and they will take it however they can get it...and thats how I see it
