Do you believe in God's promises? I have quoted several in this thread. Read them and then tell me if you really believe them.Hiya Ducky!
Hey, pop quiz.
If my wife is currently with another man, am I loosed from her?
We are still married, I'll be taking the divorce papers that I was served to my attorney tomorrow or maybe the day after.
The reason for our dissolved marriage was her decision and was unscriptural.
Would her current affair count as adultery and thus free me to some day find another?.... because in her mind, she no longer pictures us married anymore.
I'm still unsure if I need to become celibate for the rest of my life because of all this nonsense.
Thank you.
Christians MUST!!!!!! know what God has promised them. It's clear that most here do not know.Yeah, I believe in God's promises. I've always believed in God. I even became a Christian when I was a child.
I just fell short over that past 7 to 10 years.
The thing is, I wasn't truly saved until after she asked me to leave.
We both were unsaved during our marriage and I'm not sure what the bible has to say on this, Ducky.
And yeah, this thread is now completely out of control![]()
Believing in God's promises is not delusional. It's just plain smart! He is faithful!
Proverbs 29:25 (NKJV)
25 The fear of man brings a snare, But whoever trusts in the Lord shall be safe.
I'll be safe.
Remember, this is a Christian forum. As such, you are required to respect the beliefs of Christians. That means you don't get to call God our invisible friend or call our beliefs fantasies.
You now have the option of editing your post or being reported for it.

No matter. I'll still be safe.I was referring to your delusion, not whatever you think I was referring to.

You will have to answer those questions yourself. You must know what God has promised you and seek God with all your heart. He is merciful to the merciful. Nothing is too difficult for God. The difficulty seems to be in humans believing Him.So for me, I just need to wait, stay celibate and wait for God's promise to return while my friend Matt lives in my house and is all loving on her?
You just contradicted yourself. You're welcome. No I'm pretty clear and level headed thankyou.
Don't worry. Only a "FEW" would take my advice.I pray Duckbill is forever kept away from crisis hot lines.
Just remember, Satan will send religious folks to tell you that divorce is ok. Divorce leads to adultery, nearly always.Well, I probably need to go and speak with my pastor.
For me, I never talk to God, I thought that was considered rude.
I thought one is only able to pray to Jesus.
But yeah, I need a better understanding of Christianity before trying to apply this to my divorce.
Thanks for the help Ducky.
I'm probably one of the very few here that don't think you're completely insane. *lol*
But honestly, thanks Ducky.![]()
