There is internal pressure in the catholic church to open to remarrieds. But until now they withstood it.

Well not really for I almost forgot about the annulment thing the Catholic church has going.

I guess the pope now claims to have a shorter process annulment.

Annulment -- now I cannot find that word in the Bible.

There will not be marriage in heaven anyway so what is the difference?

Well I guess that the idea of annulment has something to do with statements like what the early church fathers wrote (click), that there is such a thing as unlawful marriages, and the idea was that the catholic church could rule a marriage to be unlawful after investigating the case. So it would be more like, if the marriage was an unlawful one, then the church can rule that the marriage has never existed - in the eyes of God and in the eyes of the church. Basically I can accept that premise. I think it is like that.

The catholic church is heavy on the tradition inherited, and maybe the reformed christianity takes that too lightly. I would recommend the series on what the early church fathers believed by David Bercot, example here
