Dear God I pray for this daughter... Father You can do anything.. for You have said nothing is impossible... So we come with our intentions layed out before you for we know that You have said to come boldly to Your throne.. We want this precious daughter to be healed.. We know Your Word speaks of healing.. and many are healed both past and present... I want to thank You for this precious sister's honesty... Father we come before You as we are.. seeking You.. and Your healing touch desiring You to answer us.. Oh thank You that we can come just as we are.. Lord help our unbelief.. Deepen our faith and trust in You and Your Word and thank You that You have said.. Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted. But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed. (Isaiah 53:4,5) With these words we have assurance that this daughter's healing is fully paid for and so we come recieving and expectantly waiting upon fullfillment of Your Word... Thank You Lord that Your Word does not return to You void, but it accomplishes what You intend for it to do - Isaiah 55:11. Amen and amen

In you name Jesus Christ our Lord and savior, the One and Only God that spilled your blood to save us from our sin, the only one that can grant our request, little faith we have.

This is such a great example of The Living Bible.

His name is Bill. He has wild hair, wears a T-shirt with holes in it, jeans, and no shoes. This was literally his wardrobe for his entire four years of college.

He is brilliant. Kind of profound and very, very bright. He became a Christian while attending college.

Across the street from the campus is a well-dressed, very conservative church. They want to develop a ministry to the students but are not sure how to go about it.

One day Bill decides to go there. He walks in with no shoes, jeans, his T-shirt, and wild hair. The service has already started and so Bill starts down the aisle looking for a seat.

The church is completely packed and he can't find a seat. By now, people are really looking a bit uncomfortable, but no one says anything.

Bill gets closer and closer and closer to the pulpit, and when he realizes there are no seats, he just squats down right on the carpet.

By now the people are really uptight, and the tension in the air is thick.

About this time, the minister realizes that from way at the back of the church, a deacon is slowly making his way toward Bill.

Now the deacon is in his eighties, has silver-gray hair, and a three-piece suit. A godly man, very elegant, very dignified, very courtly. He walks with a cane and, as he starts walking toward this boy, everyone is saying to themselves that you can't blame him for what he's going to do.

How can you expect a man of his age and of his background to understand some college kid on the floor?

It takes a long time for the man to reach the boy.

The church is utterly silent except for the clicking of the man's cane. All eyes are focused on him. You can't even hear anyone breathing. The minister can't even preach the sermon until the deacon does what he has to do.

And now they see this elderly man drop his cane on the floor. With great difficulty, he lowers himself and sits down next to Bill and worships with him so he won't be alone.

Everyone chokes up with emotion.
When the minister gains control, he says, "What I'm about to preach, you will never remember. What you have just seen, you will never forget."

"Be careful how you live. You may be the only Bible some people will ever read!"

Lord I know that anything asked in the name of Your precious Son, Jesus You will hear and act upon. Father this mother is crying out to you to heal her daughter and give her a normal life. Father I ask in the name of Jesus that You would do this tonight if it be Your will and show all Your power and glory. Surround them with Your heavenly ministering angels and sweet Holy Spirit. With You, nothing is impossible Lord. You sent Your only begotten Son into the world to set us free, free from oppression, free from ill heath. We ask for freedom for Moriah's daughter Lord and we ask for freedom for Moriah and her family. We claim that healing and freedom in the name of Jesus, who died for us all. We pour His precious spilt blood over this child and dedicate her to You Lord. Claim her as Yours. We give her to You.

No, my daughter's condition has nothing to do with her spine. She was born with tuberous sclerosis. A brief synopsis:

Tuberous sclerosis-also called tuberous sclerosis complex (TSC)1 - is a rare, multi-system genetic disease that causes benign tumors to grow in the brain and on other vital organs such as the kidneys, heart, eyes, lungs, and skin. It commonly affects the central nervous system and results in a combination of symptoms including seizures, developmental delay, behavioral problems, skin abnormalities, and kidney disease.
The disorder affects as many as 25,000 to 40,000 individuals in the United States and about 1 to 2 million individuals worldwide, with an estimated prevalence of one in 6,000 newborns. TSC occurs in all races and ethnic groups, and in both genders.
The name tuberous sclerosis comes from the characteristic tuber or root-like growths in the brain, which calcify with age and become hard or sclerotic. The disorder--once known as epiloia or Bourneville's disease--was first identified by a French physician more than 100 years ago.
TSC may be present at birth, but signs of the disorder can be subtle and full symptoms may take some time to develop. As a result, TSC is frequently unrecognized and misdiagnosed for years.

My daughter is NOT in the "lucky" 50% or so who have this but lead normal, practically symptom-free lives. Nope, nope, nope. She has the full symptomatic spectrum to its severest degree: the epilepsy (full-blown grand mal seizures), the severe developmental delays (she is 18 with the emotional mind of a 3-year old and the academic skills of about a first-grader), the autistic behavior, kidney problems (she recently had surgery to remove the tuberous growths from her kidneys).
