Only God can define what he has said; which disqualifies everyone other than him; from here we can proceed, but how do we proceed ...
Here's what Jesus said:
"Whoever listens to you listens to me; whoever rejects you rejects me; but whoever rejects me rejects him who sent me."
That is my point ... we have to believe we are listening to God for it to be this to us, like our footsteps becoming ordered to us when we believe that they are, or when we come to God (we must believe that he is).
Only God reveals God, there is no other way ...
Because they want faith. This is the experience of many who lacked faith but asked for it and received it.
Faith and belief are the same thing. So you are saying they have no belief in God (the definition of a non-believer), but they still ask Him to give them belief.Because they want faith. This is the experience of many who lacked faith but asked for it and received it.
Jesus started a Church. Don't we listen to Jesus by listening to those he sent?
1 John 4
6We are from God, and whoever knows God listens to us ...
Faith and belief are the same thing. So you are saying they have no belief in God (the definition of a non-believer), but they still ask Him to give them belief.
God.
Nowhere does that passage say that those who don't believe in God pray and ask for belief.Yes, it is very common for those without belief to seek God. God's grace reaches out to all of us.
24“The God who made the world and everything in it is the Lord of heaven and earth and does not live in temples built by human hands. 25And he is not served by human hands, as if he needed anything. Rather, he himself gives everyone life and breath and everything else. 26From one man he made all the nations, that they should inhabit the whole earth; and he marked out their appointed times in history and the boundaries of their lands. 27God did this so that they would seek him and perhaps reach out for him and find him, though he is not far from any one of us
Nowhere does that passage say that those who don't believe in God pray and ask for belief.
God wants all men to come to a knowledge of the truth even if Calvin claims otherwise.
I know what the verse says. What I'm saying is that it doesn't say what you said it said, which is that those who don't believe in God will pray to him so that they will believe.Yes it does. It says that God created the world so men would seek him.
You have dug yourself a hole so deep that you are grasping at straws.
God wants all men to come to a knowledge of the truth even if Calvin claims otherwise.
I guess that Jesus wasn't aware of such:
“And the disciples came, and said unto Him, Why do you speak unto them in parables? He answered and said unto them, Because it is given unto YOU to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven, but unto them it is NOT given.” Matt 13:10-11
For synergism to work, the Trinity must be divided in purpose.I guess that Jesus wasn't aware of such:
“And the disciples came, and said unto Him, Why do you speak unto them in parables? He answered and said unto them, Because it is given unto YOU to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven, but unto them it is NOT given.” Matt 13:10-11

Does the Son lose any that the Father gives Him?Rubbish.
The fact that Jesus chose some men to lead his Church in no way indicates that he doesn't want all men to follow him.
