how about a forum in the faith groups for 'disillusioned christians' and those who consider themselves backslidden, so they can discuss how they into the mess they are in and why, hopefully finding a way out....

Any of the Congregation forums would welcome discussion in this area. Also, the Outreach forums might suit that need. And the Men's forum is open to these discussions too.
