Messianic Rabbi Kirt Schneider, a Jewish believer in Jesus and end-times messenger of the LORD, delivers the Word of the LORD with the true passion of the Holy Spirit. I visited there twice, the people were very nice, but it seemed more in line with a charisimatic non-denom. They observed the dietary laws but had no problem passing around the bucked for tithes and free-will offerings, nor was there a problem makiing purchases of books and other Judaica items on the Shabbat.
I will say that they had a wonderful, fun Chanukkah (I think it was 2008). They had rented out a country club and we had the best time. Even though they allowed things that I try to avoid on Shabbat, my 2 visits there were really nice.

Yes, it does. That's why I described it as charismatic non-denominational. I used to attend those types of churches in another lifetime long long ago.
It's not a place where I would make my "home" but the people were very nice though. I did enjoy myself on my two visits. (Both times the weather was horrendous, the first visit was an actual blizzard, very scary driving!!)

The congregation that got me into the Hebraic roots of my (then Protestant) faith was sort of as Yedida describes. It was a southern charismatic style (spiritual gifts, blessings, health&wealth) + Hebrew roots stuff (emphasis on Torah, read parsha weekly, celebrated moedim, kept kosher, wore tallit, offered Hebrew language studies, etc.). It was 100% gentile and considered itself a non-denominational Christian fellowship congregation (did not identify with MJ denomination).

I think of the places as good stepping stones. I kind of left the charismatic stuff behind and am now more interested in the MJ movement, but I will tell you, the man that lead the services is the most caring, loving, honest, devoted, wise man I have ever met.
