  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Well my college group of Bible Study has been using this quite old book called "Disciples are Made, Not Born". Its by Walter A. Henrichsen. Quite practical. Starts off with what it means to be a disciple, how to be a good one and then how to train others to become disciples. I wasnt around for the full course though. You might want to check it out. But its heaps old, so.... heh. :p

The most hardcore book I can think of is Blackaby's "Experiencing God." That book tells it like it is. It might be a little too heavy though.
It demands your time every day. You have to fill in some stuff. But when you meet weekly you can probably discuss for as long as you want. Actually, the amount of time allotted for being in a group is soemthing I would ignore cause you can talk about what youw ent over for forever. The time constraints are probably there in order to guarantee you will cover everything you are supposed to.
The book is very rewarding, but it's a lot of work. Ultimately, discipleship is a lot of work.

is there a certain topic or theme you want? do you want to do a character study? study a particular book of the bible? or are you kinda not sure what you want to do? is the group all one gender or mixed? there are several things to consider that may help lead you to a good bible study.
