Leviticus 19:15
laws of holiness and justice
Ye shall do no unrighteousness in judgement:
thou shalt not respect the persons of the poor,
nor honor the person of the mighty: but in
righteousness shalt thou judge thy neighbor.
Zechariah 7:9
disobedience the cause of captivity
Thus speaketh the Lord of hosts, saying, Execute
true judgement, and show mercy and compassion
every man to his brother:
2 Corinthians 10:7
Paul speaks of his spiritual authority
Do ye look on things after the outward appearance?
If any man trust unto himself that he is Christ's, let
him of himself think this again, that, as he is Christ's,
even so are we Christ's
James 2:4
impartiality toward all
Are ye not then partial in yourselves,
and are become judges of evil thoughts?
note:
partial = prejudiced
evil thouhgts = unsound ideas
if we say a teacher's past or a pastor's past is fair game to be brought up over and over again ...
well, then ... we must
also say our past is fair game to be brought up over and over agian ...
... regardless of repentance, or asking for forgiveness, or any other factors pertaining to each individual case ...
the Lord tells us the reason we can't judge another is because we can't know their heart ...
and they can't know yours ...
the Lord also tells us with what measure we mete out ...
is the measure that will be returned ...
the Lord tells us that if we don't forgive ...
we aren't forgiven ...
and that what we place judgement on ...
we best be able to live up to ourselves ...
we're, also, told to look at the sin ...
not the sinner ...
judgement must be fair and equitable
i.e. ... what's placed on one person ... must be placed on all ... including self ...
Paul would be a good example of why ... souls are renewed in Christ ... the old is the old ... the new is the new ...
