Discerning of Spirits

Pro 7:7 And beheld among the simple ones, I discerned among the youths, a young man void of understanding

Pro 1:22 How long, you simple ones, (1) will you love simplicity? (2) and the scorners delight in their scorning, (3) and fools hate knowledge?

Pro 11:12 He that is void of wisdom despises his neighbor: but a man of understanding holds his peace.

Act 24:16 And herein do I exercise myself, to have always a conscience void of offense toward God, and toward men.

Under the Sun=(upon the earth)

Ecc 8:15 Then I commended mirth, because a man has no better thing under the sun, (1) than to eat, (2) and to drink, (3) and to be merry: for that shall abide with him of his labor the days of his life, which God gives him under the sun.

Ecc 1:9 The thing that has been, it is that which shall be; and that which is done is that which shall be done: and there is no new thing under the sun.

Ecc 1:14 I have seen all the works that are done under the sun; and, behold, all is vanity and vexation of spirit.

Ecc 3:16 And moreover I saw under the sun (1) the place of judgment, (2) that wickedness was there; (3) and the place of righteousness, (4) that iniquity was there. (wickedness is different than iniquity)

Wickedness=A mental disregard for justice, righteousness, truth, honor, and virtue Iniquity=literally means not just

The Jews Discern

Eze 44:23 And they shall teach my (God) people (Jews) the difference between the holy and profane, and cause them to discern between the unclean and the clean.

Lev 21:6 They shall be holy unto their God, and not profane the name of their God: for the offerings of the LORD made by fire, and the bread of their God, they do offer: therefore they shall be holy.

Eze 22:26 Her priests have violated my law, and have profaned mine holy things: they have put no difference between the holy and profane, neither have they shewed difference between the unclean and the clean, and have hid their eyes from my sabbaths, and I am profaned among them.

Amo 2:7 That pant after the dust of the earth on the head of the poor, and turn aside the way of the meek: and a man and his father will go in unto the same maid, to profane my holy name:

Those that Serve God

Mal 3:18 Then shall you return, and discern between the righteous and the wicked, between him that serves God and him that serves him not.

Hab 1:13 You are of purer eyes than to behold evil, and can not look on iniquity: wherefore look you upon them that deal treacherously, and hold your tongue when the wicked devour the man that is more righteous than he?

1Ti 1:9 Knowing this, that the law is not made for a righteous man, but for the lawless and disobedient, for the ungodly and for sinners, for unholy and profane, for murderers of fathers and murderers of mothers, for man-slayers,

Jas 5:16 (Christians) Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that you (Christians) may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much.

The Natural Man is not Spiritually Discerned

1Co 2:14 But the natural man receives not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.

Rom 8:6-8 For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace. Rom 8:7 Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be.

Jas 1:23 For if any be a hearer of the word, and not a doer, he is like unto a man beholding his natural face in a glass:

1Co 2:15 But he that is spiritual judges all things, yet he himself is judged of no man.

Gifts from God to Christians

1Co 12:10 To another (Christian) the working of miracles; to another (Christian) prophecy; to another (Christian) discerning of spirits; to another (Christian) divers kinds of tongues; to another (Christian) the interpretation of tongues:

1Co 12:8-9 For to one is given by the Spirit the word of wisdom; to another the word of knowledge by the same Spirit; 1Co 12:9 To another faith by the same Spirit; to another the gifts of healing by the same Spirit;

1Co 12:11 But all these works that one and the selfsame Spirit, dividing to every man severally as he will.

1Co 11:29 For he that eats and drinks unworthily, eats and drinks damnation to himself, not discerning the Lord's body.

The Word of God

Heb 4:12 For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. Heb 4:13 Neither is there any creature that is not manifest in his sight: but all things are naked and opened unto the eyes of him with whom we have to do.

Rom 10:17 So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

2Co 2:17 For we are not as many, which corrupt the word of God: but as of sincerity, but as of God, in the sight of God speak we in Christ.

Eph 6:17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:

Teaching Christian Teachers

Heb 5:12-14 For when for the time you (Christians) ought to be teachers, you have need that one (servant Christian Leadership) teach you (Christian) again which be the first principles of the oracles (wise counsel) of God; and are become such as have need of milk (immature), and not of strong meat (mature). Heb 5:13 For every one that uses milk is unskillful in the word of righteousness: for he (Christian) is a babe. Heb 5:14 But strong meat belongs to them that are of full age, even those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil.

Rom 3:2 Much every way: chiefly, because that unto them were committed the oracles (wise counsel) of God.

1Pe 4:11 If any man speak,(1) let him speak as the oracles of God; (2) if any man minister, (3) let him do it as of the ability which God gives: (4) that God in all things may be glorified through Jesus Christ, (5) to whom be praise and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.

2Co 11:7-8 Have I committed an offence in abasing myself that you (Christians) might be exalted, because I (Paul) have preached to you (Christians) the gospel of God freely? 2Co 11:8 I robbed other churches, taking wages of them, to do you service.

Rom 1:16 For I (Paul) am not ashamed of: for it is the power of God unto salvation to everyone that believes; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek

1Co 9:18 What is my reward then? Verily that, when I (Paul) preach the gospel, I may make the gospel of Christ without charge, that I abuse not my power in the gospel.

2Co 4:3-5But if our (Christian) gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost: 2Co 4:4 In whom the god of this world (title of Lucfer) has blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them. 2Co 4:5 For we preach not ourselves, but Christ Jesus the Lord; and ourselves your servants for Jesus' sake.
