a friend at college aguess with me because her mum was born disabled and has never done anything wromg to deserve it and 'hates' god for it how can he be real, try to explain but she doesnt see the bigger picture. told her that god could help and wants to. thinking about givin her a footprints poem today.

CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Lord- I come to you for this daughter. Lord, you see what is going on. Show her that you know all things and that you created everyone the way they are for a specific reason. Help her to be comforted by that. The Bible even says concerning a blind man that the disciples asked who sinned, him or his parents and Jesus replied neither. So, help her friend to be a light for her and be a peace to her. Thank you Lord.

If it is the same footprints poem that I am thinking about then it would be a good one to give her. About footprints on the sand and only one set during the roughest parts in life which represents Jesus carring us right? I will remember her in my prayers and hope that she will learn to trust in Jesus and follow his ways.
