There was no ark.
I mean, its dimensions are literally impossible using the construction abilities of that period and the materials used; not to mention all of the upkeep and such of the animals. It wouldn't be able to fit all of said animals, nor could they be reliably cared for in any fashion.
That's not how the story reads.

Scripture is very specific.
"And of every living thing of all flesh, two of every sort shalt thou bring into the ark, to keep them alive with thee; they shall be male and female." (Genesus 6:19)

I guess you don't understand what the word "specific" means
because all the specific passages in chapter 7 elaborate
on this very generalized passage.
If you limit the kinds, then they fit.
