My thoughts were that I'd have figured church teaching would be more like academic teaching. Where everyone puts forward latest religious thought and you make you own mind up....The only place I rarely got competing ideology was in church...

if we are to look at the creation account in a literal vacuum and then try and paste things in never mentioned the leviathan would be placed in day 5 not day 6.
