If you'd like to know why, then I will have to refer you to the professionals. A particular source is Davis A. Young and Ralph F. Stearley's (large) book entitled, "The Bible, Rocks and Time" (2008). These guys are Christians, by the way.

Wrong. Not in my (public) high school classes nor in those of my kids, nor in any high school classes I am aware of. What's your evidence? If you can find a high school teacher denying the existence of God to his students, I'll help you go after him.

IIRC there are about a dozen locations on earth where the geological column is complete. Given the very active nature of our planet, I am surprised that there are that many.

It has no place being talked about in science class. The existence of God doesn't come into it, any more than it does in woodshop or math class.

Science deals with the material world we see around us. The ultimate authorship and purpose of that world is outside the scope of science.

Some school districts have begun conducting such classes. It's the YECs who are fighting it.

Which God in particular were thinking of teaching about? What would you teach?
No, I think a survey of religion would be the best thing. People should be better informed about what other of their fellow countrymen believe.

The global flood, many skeptics say to me "Where did the waters go?" and "Why did God kill all humanity except Noah's family?" and "That can't be what caused all the millions of years of erosion and what created the strata layers." I myself believe there is scientific evidence that supports the global flood, but the scientific community doesn't even consider this evidence at all. Why is that I ask, isn't this a big hypocritical mess? Why is the Theory of Evolution assumed as fact (when its just not, it may have supporting evidence, but that doesn't make it fact) and taught in our school system polluting our youth into thinking in one direction?

If indeed there were dinosaurs during post Flood times, why the distortion of them into fire-breathing dragons instead a more accurate depiction? The book of job speaks of Behemoth as having a tail like a Cedar, that fits in with such dinos as Diplodocus and Apatosaurus and all their ling necked long tailed ilk. Such dinos were NOT web-winged, flying fire-breathers. If those were present, why don't we have them depicted a they were in the Middle East the place in which God mentioned them to Job? If indeed they were our contemporaries, why are their remains fossilized while the remains of other creatures during that same time are not? Why aren't they depicted as being hunted as the Asiatic lions are in Assyrian murals?

There's some evidence that the Earth's atmosphere used to be very thick and dense, up to 300x the atmospheric pressure at sea level than we have today. It allowed animals and plants to reach ridiculously gigantic proportions.

Under such atmospheric conditions, it was predicted the Earth would have no clouds but it would be damp all throughout. The ground temperature would be uniform all throughout.

The Great flood could have been caused by the passage of a massive body which shifted the Earth's orbit farther away from the Sun. The sudden cooling would have condensed all of that moisture of that 300x thicker atmosphere. The massive body would have also simultaneously "sucked" up most of the Earth's atmosphere. The much reduced atmospheric pressure would also cause subterranean water that is absorbed into the rocks under high pressure to break free due to the lower atmospheric pressure.

You'll have massive condensation and thus rains from the cooling atmosphere and simultaneously, water breaking free from underground rocks due to reduced atmospheric pressure. This gives a flood of epic proportions.

Where did all the water went?? Some went to the clouds due to the reduced temperatures, some went to polar ice caps which did not exist before, some went back to the rocks as the Earth's interior cooled due to greater distance from the Sun, and finally, the rest was leaked into space through a tail/stream of water vapor caused by the passage of a massive body.

There are many kinds of dinosaurs. Why do you complain about that? We have fossils so we know they don't all look the same.

Sauropods (long neck; long, thick tail; strong legs) are depicted as being hunted. This is just one cave, not the only one that has been discovered with dinosaur drawings and hunting. This particular one happens to be in the Middle East.

God says Leviathan (the water dinosaur) is able to breathe fire, but about Behemoth (which sounds like a sauropod) it says nothing of the sort. God was clearly describing animals Job knew. Pay attention to what God says about battling Leviathan:

Job 41
“Can you draw out Leviathan with a hook,
Or snare his tongue with a line which you lower?
2 Can you put a reed through his nose,
Or pierce his jaw with a hook?
3 Will he make many supplications to you?
Will he speak softly to you?
4 Will he make a covenant with you?

Do you believe the Bible or not? Has God proven His Word reliable in other ways? Stop doubting it then! If He hasn't proven His Word reliable to you, I would contend that you have stopped your ears and closed your eyes so you haven't been paying attention.

God Himself is the one who inspired the words of Scripture by the Holy Spirit (2 Peter 3:16, 2 Peter 1:20-21).

Jesus, quoting Deuteronomy 8:3, rebuked Satan thus (Matthew 4:4), "Man does not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God."

The word of God is described as a double-edged sword.

Hebrews 4:12-13
12 For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. 13 And there is no creature hidden from His sight, but all things are naked and open to the eyes of Him to whom we must give account.

Jesus is called the Word, and the Creator.

John 1:1-3, 14
1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 He was in the beginning with God.
3 All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made.
14 And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth.

Jesus is also called The Word of God. And He has "a double edged sword" proceeding from His mouth (that is, His words), which He uses to slay the army gathered to oppose Him.

Revelation 19:13-15, 21
13 He was clothed with a robe dipped in blood, and His name is called The Word of God. 14 And the armies in heaven, clothed in fine linen, white and clean, followed Him on white horses. 15 Now out of His mouth goes a sharp sword, that with it He should strike the nations. And He Himself will rule them with a rod of iron. He Himself treads the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God.
21 And the rest were killed with the sword which proceeded from the mouth of Him who sat on the horse. And all the birds were filled with their flesh.

Think about it. God created with His word (Genesis 1:3, Genesis 1:6, Genesis 1:9, etc.) and He's going to destroy His enemies with His word. Why then do you think Christians are not afraid to doubt His written Word?

Jesus asked Nicodemus:

John 3:12
12 If I have told you earthly things and you do not believe, how will you believe if I tell you heavenly things?

2 Peter 3:3-9 describes people who willfully reject the Biblical accounts of God's creation and the worldwide flood, which is straightforward history. Built upon that foundation, these people, described as "scoffers" reject the clear teaching about the end--the literal, bodily, visible return of Christ.

I don't think it's any accident that when speaking to the lukewarm Laodiceans, Jesus appeals to His authority as a Faithful and True Witness and the Beginning of the creation of God (Revelation 3:14).

If you want real help with believing the authority of the Bible, the best biblical authority ministry around is Answers in Genesis (www.answersingenesis.org). They have so many resources, from books, DVDs, magazines, online articles and videos, and of course the Creation Museum and the Ark Encounter (both in Nothern Kentucky, near Cincinnati Airport). Even if you think you will hate it, you owe it to yourself to be challenged if you really care about having a Biblically-based faith. - Pre-Adamic era creation, dinosaurs lived here
- Pre-Flood dinosaurs, except for a few instances where some survived
