  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

When God first created the Earth, Adam and Eve were meant to be immortal, but because of sin, they began to have a life span. The life span which became normal at that time was about 900 years. However, as sin increased even more, the human life span decreased, because God allowed certain enviromental changes to occur which shortened the life span. For instance, the magnetic field decreased, allowing parasites which had once been incapable of entering the body to do so. Eventually, the human life span had been decreased to about 70 years. Well, enviromental changes which effect humans also effect reptiles as well as other animals. And, reptiles grow as long as they are alive. A komodo dragon can live about 70 years and grow to be about 7 feet long. If the human life span decreased from 900 to 70 years, that is a decrease of 13 times. If a komodo dragon has experienced that same effect upon its life span, it would have been about 91 feet long back when humans lived for 900+ years, since it would have continued to grow for its whole lifespan. What do you call a 91 foot lizard? A dinosaur!!!

So where are the 91 foot long komodo dragon fossils?

Seriously, you don't buy this, do you?

If the lizards we have today are simply increased in size, the do not match the physiology of the fossils we find in any fashion.

Have you actually ever really looked at a fossil dinosaur or spent any time reading a book on he subject?

Remember people. This is the kind of stuff creationists want taught in school. Keep an eye out. Stamp it out when you see it (and don't move to Texas)

So if sin is inversely proportional to life expectancy, then I guess western society has been getting less and less sinful. Here in Canada, life expectancy has gone up in the past five years. In that time, we legalized gay marriage. Coincidence?

Regardless, it looks like we're on the right path. Porn, abortion, gay rights; all are non-sins that have prolonged our lives!

Fancy actually backing that up with some evidence? Or even theory would be good - how do you suppose that a change in the magnetic field allowed parasites into the body?

Eventually, the human life span had been decreased to about 70 years.
Didn't study history, did you? a few thousand years ago or so, and the human lifespan was about 35. It's been increasing since then - and due to science, not piety.

If you can show that the dinosaur fossils we have were 900 years old (or so) then be my guest. Until that time, there's no reason to think so.

The real reason we die at 70, by the way, is thought to be because the protective caps at the end of our chromosomes get worn down to much, sending the cells of our bodies into automatic "self destruct." This leads to organ failure and death. You should also know that it's quite easy to tell how old a skeleton was by a method similar to looking at tree rings. Presumably you have evidence, using this method, of really old human beings, that has been published in scientific journals?

EDIT: here are some pictures from Google Images. Please can you tell us which lizards they are giant versions of. Thanks.

I don't know about you, but I don't remember seeing those spikes on the last two, or those teeny weeny arms on the second, or that huuuuuuge neck on the first one. There are plenty more for you to do once you've identified these ones.
Thanks again!

Of course they aren't extinct- there's some dinosaurs outside my window right now. Only difference- it seems in the last many millions of years their scales became sorta more... feathery. Their teeth also disappeared, replaced with a beak. And they also seem to be able to fly. Here's a wikipedia article on them: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bird

By simple extrapolation, as humans can also currently grow to over seven feet tall (ignoring the fact that we tend to get a little shorter as we enter old age), where are all the 90ft human fossils?
Why doesn't the bible talk of Adam and Eve towering over the trees? Or is that what is supposed to be meant by 'dominion over'. It's lazy thinking like this that demonstrates the complete lack of logic at the heart of the creationism debate.
