I have an Olympus C-5050 zoom as my digital and a Canon Elan II as my 35mm slr.
I still prefer 35 mm. I also have an absolutely gorgeous 40 year old WISTA cherry wood field view camera (4x5) that I would like to be able to use, but I haven't had access to a decent dark room in over four years, so it doesn't get much use. So lately I've been using my olympus and a "digital dark room"
I enjoy having all the control but I miss the smells and asthetic value of working directly with the neg, print and chems.
Above all, I prefer working with 35mm and 4x5 B&W with all subject matter. I do enjoy using color film with landscapes, but nowadays, it's so much more cost effective to do all of your color work digitally, since you don't have to go through 30 pieces of paper at about 60 cents a piece.
has anyone else noticed that color photographic printing paper has gotten more expensive?
I guess it's the industries way of telling us that it's time to move on.
