Ok I've read this entire thread...and I remain unconvinced that Christian rock music is evil.
I don't know why certain people assume things are evil because they're loud or just not mainstream. Is it because people don't understand it? Don't like it? Or just like having something to complain about...
I like rock...especially alternative rock. I also like ska, jazz, metal...I like a lot of genres. I choose to listen to Christian artists where possible, because I believe lyrics do impact us (to varying degrees) and I'd like to avoid a heap of the bad stuff entering my mind.
Sometimes I feel like hearing a really strong Christian message, so I'll listen to Jennifer Knapp or Claire Hazzard, or DC Talk's Jesus Freak or...well I have a few in my collection. Michael W Smith's Secret Ambition usually brings a tear to my eye.
