Different "types" of Baptists and what they believe

You could research a dissertation on bodyart among different Christian groups. I think it would be very interesting.

I agree. Where you live and what country greatly affects the price, I would imagine. Bluelion is probably right in that if you live basically you may not need both spouses to work. A guide in up-state NY (near the Canadian border) told us that some houses in the area, even though they were in a less-than-desirable location, could be purchased for 30-40,000 dollars. I think that's very cheap for a house. Of course, if you want to live permanently in NYC, that's probably a whole other ball game in terms of cost of living and apartment prices.

In our area we have some nice houses cheap you can buy for 40,000 that is beat to hell but slap some paint and re carpet and other minor fix and your Good. lot of drugs around here even though its a small town,but you don't get mugged walking down the street, They basically make the drugs here that supplies the city, but my wife's cousin is on the police force, and my father in law has owned a business here for over 50 years. So we know people.

But i found a 2,000 sqf home with its own pond in the back yard for 80,000 all it needed was paint and carpet.
so we are in the right place to be poor, sadly we are a bit to poor for a house right now. but one day

What are you told to believe? That Genesis is literal? The Holy Spirit tells me it is a beautiful allegory. That is what my pastors have told me, too. I had absolutely no idea until I first came to the US that any Christian still believed it was literal.



I think at some churches the pastors also receive a house as part of their compensation?



$40,000 for a house????? That's amazing! In Sweden the home prices have tripled in the past ten years. The average is $11,000 USD per square metre.



I have learned so much about how Christians as a whole believe such different things, and Baptists they believe such different things from one another too. Some think the Bible is inerrant but they interpret verses differently. You can see that with Bluelion and others who support women being ordained. Some do not believe it is inerrant, because it was God inspired but written by humans. This was my first time, learning that any Protestant did not think women should be ordained, or in a six-day creation.

actually yes I do believe the Bible is with out error, its is inspired by God written by men but because it was inspired by God God insures it is without error. i simply do not believe that is what Paul meant and while i can not say for sure what he meant, it does not sake my faith one bit. No one understand everything in The Bible but God. So there stuff i don't know, and when the Word appears to be in conflict with its self. I look for the answer to how it is not and say I don't understand yet. I have faith in God and that his word is with out error or conflict, because God does not make error or contradict him self.

Yes the Bible is literal in Gen your pastor is wrong. we know they were days because night came first and God said let there be light and then night and morning were the first day. So we know it was one day. Also the sun was not created first the earth was, so the earth is older than the sun.

People have been bashed over the head with science so much they now thing the Bible is wrong and that man is right. This is the same science that say a man born a man may actually be a woman and can have an operation to change in to a woman. That is a whole new sin science created, and may be one of the greatest offenses to God. Fact is science changes it mind every decade or so. The truth is they are just guessing. When I was a kid they said the earth was like 6 million years old, now they are saying 65 million or i have even heard a billion, they just keep adding on years to fit with their "theories".

I had to delete an atheist friend of my wife on facebook because he completely lost his mind when I said i reject most science and hold to the bible. He accused me and those who hold to God's word as terrorist we were the same as isis he said. That is what the future hold for Christians persecution and an end to religious freedom, for the first part, then the beast will come and can call down fire from the sky and control lighting and claim to be Jesus and everyone will believe him, why? Because science will not be able to explain it, nations would be useless to battle him with guns. he could literally rain down fire on a city.

with that power does that sound like God? people will say yes because they have never seen anything like it. How can he do this because satan gives him half his power. These are things angels can do. They even make a statue appear to come to life it moves and speaks. how is that possible the Bible says a demon posses it.

so you see there are things coming that if you do not hold the Bible with out error and have enough faith to believe an all powerful God would not take millions of years to create the earth, you have little chance of not losing your soul. If your saved you will never be lost, way to test this is ask your self if you love God, only you and God know the answer. a person can not love God with out Jesus in their heart. as Paul points out any one not saved is hostile to God because of the law.

Personally i know of people who can send their energy into the sky and make clouds scatters. This is no surprise but a great feat, to those who know true martial arts. I was trained with energy and I can do things to. like move a person with my energy. My wife thought I was nuts finally i had enough, so I told her stick out your hand and hold it still. I put my hand 6 inches from her and moved her hand in circles, I told her try to stop your hand from moving, she couldn't. She told me later she almost ran out of the house screaming. It scared her to death, but know when I speak of energy she gets quite and just listens.

That is just one thing i can do, most people can not believe that is even possible and most Christians would call it a demon or something if they did believe it. Its not a demon just my life force. I hope i will be able to heal others, let God follow through me as Jesus did, and reason this must be why i can do such things.

My teacher could control his spirit, he was teaching me, He could send his spirits over great distances and watch what was going on in another city or house. He could also call to my spirit while a sleep and i would fly to the gym and speak with Him in spirit. Like you see in movies, in fact many of the people who make those movies trained with us, where you think they got the idea? and now you know why moves are so good about that stuff because you subconsciousness mind knows these things are possible.

Why God lets every one be deceived by the beast, he already answered that, they thought them self wise and above God, they deceived others and so God turn them over to evil. Paul explains what happen back at his time in Romans 1 -2.

Also you see it in pharaoh because he hardened his heart against god God hardened it even more. God will not be defy, but every knee shall bow and every mouth will confess He is God, every, even those not saved and never will be.

I tell you this as a warning, if you have trouble believing the Bible now, what will you do when the end is here? All that is happening in the world is meant to break your faith so you will believe the beast when he comes and any one who gets his mark is damned. There, there is my fire and brimstone for those who like that kind of preaching

I love the Baptist church I go to now. It is very different, theologically, from what Jennae and others have been so kind to share about their beliefs. I think, perhaps, for me just "Christian" is a better fit than Baptist.

I am truly sorry that you have had such a bad experience here. Unfortunately many Christians in the U.S. think we have a monopoly on Christianity and that the American brand is better than the rest of the world. God bless you and your walk with Him.
