• Starting today August 7th, 2024, in order to post in the Married Couples, Courting Couples, or Singles forums, you will not be allowed to post if you have your Marital status designated as private. Announcements will be made in the respective forums as well but please note that if yours is currently listed as Private, you will need to submit a ticket in the Support Area to have yours changed.

  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I just went there and remembered my old password. I was Eta Carinae. I was a mod back then but I guess they deleted my mod status. My last post was almost 7 years ago.

I can't remember if you were buzzsaw or time something or other.

So they did not perish because they....were hunters!! What a scream. You in a cult? Ridiculous.
I am going to say this again and then I am to tired to say it a third time. There IS a difference between the man God created in Gen 1:27 and the Adam we read about in Gen Ch 2. For one thing in Gen 1:28 they were told to "replenish the earth". Adam in Ch 2 was to tend the Garden in Eden. One was a hunter gather and the other was a food producer.

The bottom line is that Adam and Eve lived 6,000 years ago. Noah's flood was around 4300 years ago. Clearly not ever man, women and child was destroyed 4300 years ago. Science shows us that we need to take a closer look at what the Bible is telling us.

You want to use a "different state past", AV wants to use "embeded age". I say there is no conflict between science and the Bible. If you think there is then maybe God is calling you to take a closer look at the Bible and the message that the Bible has for us and our generation today.

We do not need different state past or embeded age theorys. It does not matter if that existed or not. We simply need to read our Bible and allow the Holy Spirit of God to guide us and lead us into all truth. I can not teach you. I can only share what I have learned in my study of the word of God.

It is up to each and every individual to discover truth for themselves. No one else can do it for them.

It is not my job to teach science or develop scientific theorys. My job is to help people to understand the Bible and hopefully to draw close to God and His love for them. So I am more then happy to study the Bible with you to try and get to a better understanding of God's written word for us today.

And there is problem #1: The natural record IS the divine record and I challenge you to prove otherwise.
1 Corinthians 15:48 As is the earthy, such are they also that are earthy: and as is the heavenly, such are they also that are heavenly.

In other words, reality can take a hike.
Yes, reality can take a hike when God shows up to do something contrary to it.

In addition:

Revelation 20:11 And I saw a great white throne, and him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them.

That's hiking in double-time --

So how did He do His flood? Our laws?!
You kidding? Our nature..? Ha. It would be harder to conform to them than transcend them. Noah conformed to former state laws. He lived a long time. He saw fast plant growth. He saw the flood.
So wait. I BARELY understand (and may not) understand what you just tried to communicate here.

In fact, Noah also conformed to OUR laws!!!! BOTH. If the nature change was over a century after the flood, Noah was still alive.
So then there is no detail to this theory right? You just kinda make it up as you go along without any consideration to the implications of what you're saying ?

Ask away. I don't bite when not confronted.

You are saying that the God was not bound by the natural laws pre OR post shift.
Is that correct?

Lots of detail.
Well not really. YOu pretty flippantly said "Oh yes. And this carbon based, oxygen and glucose consuming life form lived through a fundamental shift in the existence of space time and a transformational event changing every natural law in existence COMPLETELY unaffected and didn't feel the need to tell anyone about it in a clear and concise fashion.

That's not exactly "nothing" you know..... That's not a claim that should be made with no physical evidence.
