A good discusison on the differences between Reformed Calvinism and Lutheranism.

Yours in the Lord,

Thanks for that... I will listen I did not Know that James and Jordan interacted with each other.

I do recall long ago listening to the White Horse inn with Rod Rosenbladt and Mike Horton discussing the same types of issues.

Rod addresses his time with White Horse Inn, Image JI Packer and Rod at the same time.

I really enjoyed Rod... not so much Jordan.

I do recall a very good Lutheran web cast show that was taken of the air some years ago and for the life of me I can not recall it's name.

Edit to add (found it)

In Him,

Bill

It's a comparison of beliefs and not a discussion between the two. Essentially, Dr. White would anathematize all Lutherans since we believe baptismal regeneration, the real presence of the Body and Blood in the Supper and Confession and Holy Absolution.

I would be curious if you agreed with Dr. White's positions.

Yours in the Lord,

jm

I don't think a Baptist can accurately represent the Reformed tradition, since the covenantal and corporate nature of salvation is largely denied, and the view of the Church is much lower.

There is much more similarity between the Continental Reformed tradition, and Lutherans.
