Sure, I used to play Command and Conquer, but now, I think that all RTS games are just going out of style. Of course, there are a lot of good ones left, but they are not selling as good was they used to. The really good ones right now are WarCraft III, Rise of Nations, Age of Mythology, and Command and Conquer Generals. Still, people play classic games like StarCraft which still is one of my favorite games of all time. But seriously, does anyone think that these games will make a comeback or will they just die out.

classic games like starcraft *gags* ;)

I liked Age of Empires best of all the RTS's, I think. And AoK was better 'cause you could actually withstand a whole army of x kind of units. ;)

there haev been some recent attempts. I think the problem is people haev switched to the adrenaline-pumping action genre, in general, heh. And RPG's.

However, I'd like to see a really good, great-graphics strategy game based from about AD 500 to AD 1800. Sorta like Age of Empires again, I guess, but with a much more complex market and fighting system. :D

What they need to do is make a perfectly real world-simulated RTS (by that I mean it follows the physics of our world, not technology). Like TA, except it has a few things that are not so realistic like that terrain can't be cratered, targeting (eg when you target something out of reach it keeps tracking it even though it can't attack it, damage units don't move slower or have parts missing, etc.
