Wow!!! Look like my question is a rather tough one...
Some says here that I will be doing a sin myself if i kill my child to prevent him/her from sinning, but sience i love my child, dun u think i am willing to sin and save him from being sinned?

I'll ask again; are you serious?
How can anyone possibly even think about killing their child? That is just evil. plain and simple. God has a special plan for that child and it is NOT to die at your hands. To do so would reap consequences you couldn't even phathom. God has absolutey zero tolerance for any such harm (physical, emotion, and spiritua) to children.

I assumed you were writting this to me. How does the verse have anything to do with my views? If one is born without sin; then they will enter into Heaven. I agree that Christ is the ONLY way into heaven; the only way for us sinners.PRMan said:

Heather, don't take this the wrong way, because I really appreciate that you took the time to provide verses to back up your thoughts. Not everyone on this board does that.
This passage is specifically to Jeremiah, although I'll give you credit because it does state that he was sanctified in the womb, which lends credence to your argument.
John isn't writing to children but to adult believers. He was in his mid-90s at the time. EVERYONE was a child compared to him.
I believe the point here is that children trust their parents implicitly, without trying to figure everything out themselves. Christ is telling us that this is how we should trust God. I don't see where it states that children are sin-free or not, but we are told to be like them.
This fits both our arguments. You would say that David is going to heaven and the child will be there. I would say that David is going to Abraham's Bosom in Sheol/Paradise/Hades, etc. and the child will be there.
I don't believe that children are intrisically pure in heart. I would assume by the inclusion of this verse that you do.
I try my hardest not to choose one set of verses over another. Until I can come up with a theory that can fit ALL the verses on a particular subject, I am obviously at least a little bit incorrect.
But as we see here, some topics are very difficult with very little said about them and many verses could go multiple ways.
And again, Heather, please take no offense. I am very happy that you took the time to show me why you believe what you believe. The verses you cited give me additional food for thought. Thank you for that.
PS, in case anyone was wondering, I am NOT Catholic and I don't believe everything they teach about Purgatory, but the more I study, the more I think the general principle is more Biblically correct than what I was taught growing up as a Protestant.

These are just few verses that argue in favor of children going to heaven when they die. Of course there are other verses that people will interpret to mean that unsaved children go to hell. There are, as you pointed out, also those which indicate that babies go somewhere in between...purgatory. These are the ones that I believe...there are more, if you want I can post them too

Christianity isn't about finding a way to completely prevent sin. It's not possible to prevent it. Christianity is about knowing that we are born sinners and will inevitably sin. Jesus died so that we might be washed clean. It's impossible to live a sinless life.

I disagree with you my friend. I believe the grace of the holy spirit is more powerfull than most people give credit for. Jesus commanded us to not live in sin, that with the holy spirit we can prevail over all sin. I don't think He would command us to do something we weren't capable of doing. Remember, the bible also says that we are never tempted beyond our ability to resit; which means we have the ability to resist all temptation. I don't think you can get much clearer than that.
With God, anything is possible, and so we CAN live sinless if we just trust in God and do our part on the free will He has given us, in this life. Lets not give in to sin and rationalize our sins away as just a apart of human nature. That is not what God intended for us to do.

If you think perfection is possible, then I'm sorry and sad for you. We will never be worthy enough, good enough, or clean enough. Jesus died for us for that specific reason. To wash us clean of our imperfections.

Yes, you're right. We are not worthy, and we can do NOTHING on our own. But with God's grace, we can be more than conquerers. And what grace is this? It's the holy spirit now dwelling inside of each and every believer of Christ. Jesus gave us the holy spirit when He died on the cross, and it's with the holy spirit that we can prevail over sin and indeed grow to live sinless if we thirst for it deep enough.
