DYK that the Emperor Constantine killed both his wife and his son because his mother told him that they were having an incestuous affair? It wasn't true of course. Emperor Constantine was a bit of a mammas boy. Funny that he's considered the first pope. His life reads like a Conan the Barbarian novel.

some rumor that he was drunk, cuz' he was unsteady. the others say that he was unsteady and trembling because it was the first time he had had to kill a queen/king before, & in that day, because it was "divine intervention" that declared your king/queen, he thought he might be affronting God...

Really? I just bought a book about Mary Queen of Scots. I've yet to start reading it. But, now you've refreshed my interest. Wow...how barbaric.

No, I didn't know that about Elvis. What a terrible way to be found. I hope when I go...I'll be left with some dignity. Good gravy! How terrible.

DYK that my parents were in the midst of a divorce and I was being farmed out to any relative that would take me the summer Elvis died? I was staying in Arkansas at the time with my Uncle and his family. I remember people being completly wrecked over his death. I wasn't really into him. My parents were more the Beatles, Crosby Steals and Nash kind of people. It was also the summer the First Star Wars movie was released. I know...because it was the very first movie I ever watched in a walk in theater. (my parents used to take us to the drive in...only)

No, I didn't know that about shrimp. Did you know that Lobster, crab and shrimp are sea bugs? Yeah...I'm not kidding. They have an exoskeletan which is what classifies them as bugs. No wonder God said not to eat them because they were unclean. I'm kind of bugged about finding that out too...I always liked lobster, crab and shrimp. Don't know if I can eat them now though.

Yes, I knew that. I can't stand raw meat, and that would include shrimp: shrimp are basically the cockroaches of the sea.

did you know that the very first message ever sent and received by morse code was in morristown new jersey on jan 6, 1838, NOT may 24 1844 from washington dc to baltimore like it is publicized?? and the message was not the popularly known "what hath God wrought?" but "a patient waiter is no loser"... the original first message was from finanical backer alfred vail to samuel morse. the 2nd was sent from morse to vail ... hmmm... and of course, vail is the actual inventor.. not morse...

Did you know that America and other space agencies continually send out the number 3,14...... or "pie" out into the atmosphere in a code, so that if there are life out there, they can recognize the signal from other space "junk" since it is a sign of intelligence.
