Did YOU get accepted into college?

Hey, peoples! I don't know about you guys but this year had been...interesting to say the least, but the day of reckoning is approaching...the first day of college! I found I got accepted on Friday when I got home! If you got accepted, post--you don't have to say where, just say if you got accepted to college.

BTW, we start the University term on Michaelmas (29th September). Do the U.S. start in Spring?

Also, is the U.S. system arranged as such:
Michaelmas
Lent
Easter
Each with a substantial break between.

Em...not quite sure what you're referring to, but the date you gave is different from most college term dates. In my understanding, fall semester usually starts in late August or early September. Btw, why are the terms in Wales set up that way?

I did, but that was almost three years ago. It was the only one I applied to and everything

Unfortunately, 3 days before the term started all my financial aid fell through and I wasn't able to go

A word of advice: Go to class!!! No matter how stupid the prof or the class itself might be, go. Congrats on getting accepted. =D

I got accepted to Lakeland Community College two years ago; my husband got accepted at the same college a few months ago. My major is Early Childhood Education and my hb is going to be a computer programmer. Congrats on you acceptance!

Yeah i got accepted to Algonquin College in Ottawa, i am going for Police Foundations, i am looking forward to it! I was home schooled from grades 5-12, so this will be a new experience!Jon

I was accepted into all 6 colleges I applied too...and like 4 colleges offered me scholarships even though I didn't apply there...I am super excited to start college in the fall ( I did pick a school)

Congrats to the OP. Very good advice there. I was accepted into the first college, and then I transfered and was accepted at my 1st choice both times. Hope you have a great time in college in a godly way.

I got accepted to the 3 schools I applied to. I didn't want to apply to any; but my highschool counsler made me apply to at least one state school. I applied to Northern Illinois my senior year of highschool and got in.

I went to community college instead. 3 years later I applied to University of Illinois at Chicago (state school) and Depaul (private Catholic school) I got into both.

I go to Depaul now. Probably one of the stupidest financial decisisoins I've EVER made...but I'm lovin' it!

Hey, that's great! I was thinking about doing the same thing, although there are some great state schools like Georgia Tech.

We have three terms.

The times vary but are generally in the same place(ish) on the calendar.
Basically, everything is organised round Christian festivals (still).

2006-2007
Michaelmas Term -11 weeks
(Fri 29 Sept 2006 - Fri 15 December 2006)

Lent Term -11 weeks
(Fri 5 January 2007 - Fri 23 March 2007)

Easter Term - 8 weeks
(Fri 20 April 2007 - Fri 15 June 2007)

Easter: 8 April 2007

Degree Day - Friday 6 July 2007
