It's about as likely that Jesus went to India as Jesus having been in Britain.

That is, it's not likely at all.

What is likely is that Jesus lived His entire life in Galilee and Judea, with a couple early years spent in Egypt as per the claims of Matthew's Gospel.

No Jesus didn't go to India. Christian missionaries including the Apostle Thomas are thought to have made it to India to evangelize the Jewish population in Kerala though. Later Pantaenus (died 200ad) who was the founder of the Christian cathechetical school of Alexandria went to India to teach the faith as well.

Is there any country on earth that doesn't have a folk legend about Jesus visiting that place?

I find it extremely unlikely that Jesus ever visited India. It's not impossible, but nothing in His teachings would in any way suggest familiarity with the religion, philosophy, culture, or history of that country.

John 21:25 Jesus did many other things as well. If every one of them were written down, I suppose that even the whole world would not have room for the books that would be written.
Could this mean Jesus went to India; yes its possible but not probable (IMHO)

and no I did not watch the Video. (what video?)and i wont, because I'll assume its crap before watching it, especially if it is long. If a synopsis was given that might intrigue me

The "evidence" is a very late- think 1800s- manuscript which purports to tell of His travels in India and his learning from the Hindu mistics. Where is the evidence in the Gospels of Him believeing anything like what Hinduism teaches. Ain't there. Nuff said.

There is no good, and no early historical evidence that Jesus went to India.

But just thinking logically, it's hard to see what reason he could have had for going there. Were there any other Jewish prophets and healers who did? I don't know of any. How would he have understood this as a part of his prophetic mission?

Trying to understand your statement. So are you saying He did go to India? Or He did not because He lived such a short life. If He did go to India, what is your proof? There isn't any. Any yes Issa is the Indian name for Jesus. I thing Indian churches refer to Him by that name. Just like Jesus is actually a Latinized form of the Hebrew name Jesua or Joshua.

I read about how Jesus may have traveled to Asia, possibly India and engaged with the buddhist monks and bodhisattvas there. Buddhist teachings of suffering, and peaceful conduct with fellow human beings are very similar to Christian teaching.

Buddhists even consider Jesus a bodhisattva (enlightened one)

It is an interesting idea, but probably unlikely.

The Gospels makes it very clear that Jesus came for the Jews as they were the first in line so he wouldn't have gone to any other country. Jesus preached to some gentiles just before He died but that was it. It was the disciples that took the message out to the gentiles.

The same is with Britain. I was recently told how there is supposedly a tree in Glastonbury that Jesus was supposed to have planted. I thought about it then and realized it goes against the Bible. Sure the disciples or the early church may have gone there, but certainly not Jesus.

Well, there's about 12 years of His life unaccounted for in Scripture. He could have gone anywhere; I like to think He was fairly well traveled. Remember, "if all the things that Jesus did were written down, there would not be enough books on earth." (paraphrase)
