That's not a problem for me, it is a problem for you.Have you heard of this:
Revelation 21:23 And the city had no need of the sun, neither of the moon, to shine in it: for the glory of God did lighten it, and the Lamb is the light thereof.
And for the record, how did those angiosperms survive without the sun in Genesis 1?
I remember life before plastic and before transistors. We now call that the good ol days...she says, posting from a computer she personally (likely) can't break down to the transistor and explain the whole way up.
And I salute you.I managed to make it to and from Afghanistan without having my atheism thrown to the wind,
And, IMO, they'll get credit for it too.Foxhole87 said:... and plenty of atheists have fought and died right next to Christians.
You want persepctive?Foxhole87 said:I suggest you find yourself some perspective.
Just don't try to make it my pro...That's not a problem for me,
Nevermind.Foxhole87 said:... it is a problem for you.
Being a couple miles away from the action isn't really the same perspective. And I salute you. And, IMO, they'll get credit for it too.You want persepctive?
You should have been on Guam when the SS Mayaguez was captured.
People I would have never thought would do so were praying.
Ah, yes.I remember life before plastic and before transistors. We now call that the good ol days.
You remember life over 100 years ago?I remember life before plastic and before transistors. We now call that the good ol days.
Ah, yes.
The days of the old vacuum tubes and power steering.
The days when a person knew what "roll down the window" actually meant.
Close enough.Being a couple miles away from the action isn't really the same perspective.
I've been through this conversation here before, Fox.Foxhole87 said:Perhaps you will reconsider the next time you want to call a service member a "fake" atheist by repeating that despicable soundbite.
LOL -- yup!The days when you had roll vents in your window which controlled your 'air conditioning'.
Science isn't a la carte. Electron theory is science, and electron theory is how your computer works.scientific theories about how the world was created is not technology science isnt technology
You've clearly bypassed any opportunity to pick up any civility nor dispense dignity in those previous conversations.Close enough.
You still get the credit for fighting for us in the Good Book.
1 Samuel 30:24b ... but as his part is that goeth down to the battle, so shall his part be that tarrieth by the stuff: they shall part alike.I've been through this conversation here before, Fox.
If that well-known line causes you to blow a gasket, wait until you read what's on our coins!
Good. You've clearly bypassed any opportunity to pick up any civility nor dispense dignity in those previous conversations.
My wife and I just bought a new car. We gave it to our son, we drive the older one. Mostly because he appreciates all the new stuff and I really don't have any use for any of it. Why would I need to plug my phone into the car I drive?Ah, yes.
The days of the old vacuum tubes and power steering.

Modern technology relies heavily on electromagnets to store information using magnetic recording devices. Who gave us electromagnets? Joseph Henry a born again Christian. Most of what science discovers were discovered by a Christian. Of course Eighty-three percent of Americans identify themselves as Christians, so when something is discovered then there is a good chance it was discovered by a Christian. World wide a third of the people are christian. That is why we are told that few find their way to eternal life and there are many that perish.Science isn't a la carte. Being a Christian doesn't mean you can't do science. You have misunderstood the objection. Those discoveries were made by doing science. He created a scientific model, tested it, and demonstrated it to others who tested it. That's what doing science is. He didn't "do" Christianity to come up with the electromagnet.Modern technology relies heavily on electromagnets to store information using magnetic recording devices. Who gave us electromagnets? Question: Which of the following institutions is led by a born-again, Bible-believing Christian who prays for guidance and accepts the Biblical creation account as true?
If it’s the 19th century, it is “all of the above.” These distinguished positions were held by one man: Joseph Henry. Remarkably, these honors are less important than the scientific contributions made by one of America’s foremost early scientists.

We use science for life and health and healing. Not death and destruction. During the 1000 year reign of Christ we will have peace. They will beat their sword into a plowshare. Please do share with us what you think it means to do science, and then tell us what part of science necessitates Christian faith.
I am not sure what Hindu believe. I am pretty sure they believe there is a life after this one. I think they are trying to reach nirvana or something like that.Does your Hindu brother believe Jesus was resurrected?
