Msg from God."For I, the LORD, do not change"
seriously, for God to change that would mean either He's gotten better, or gotten worse. He can't for He's already perfect.
Many unfaithful people died in the OT.Hmmmm..would Jesus whip even an enemy?
Do you see a change?
Would you like to buy a vowel
What is your view of the "Hail" in Revelation?well..ya kinda gotta stoning God,and then ya gotta non stoning God.
Moses was afraid at the mountain,Jesus was approachable to all.
You aren't? funny I seem to remember lots of posts you made where you kept writing 'sab', took me awhile to figure out you weren't mis-pelling Saab.FrogsterWho is G-D? I am not familiar with initials.
James, did you know that your name in Hebrew is Jacob? And Hebrew does not have any vowels. I have no fear of vowels but I fear the L-RD as a wise person should. When you see G-d and if you were asked to read that outloud, you couldn't figure out what it says. Hw abt ths, cn you rd ths sntnc? Why do you say G-d instead of God you have fears of o's or something?
Oh LL, you are just so funny,Maybe it's a culture thing?
I wondered that myself, but.. she did use the o's in the rest of the words.....
"Fr-gster, d- y-u n-t believe that Jesus is G-d?"
Yes, see how close to the edge you want to mock.we could start a thread, and see how long we can go,without using o's
Would you like to buy a vowel
No, I think he meant a vwl. 'e' is a vowel, JSUK.Do you mean a vwel?
Greetings.*snip*
So instead of answering my rebuttals you resort to once again laughing at me, that's fine I don't mind, I am used to it by those who do not follow any of G-ds laws. One of which is to have respect for his Holy name. Now of course G-d is not his name, but it is used in the English as a substitution. It is holy, and as such when I type it I give respect to him who is above all else. If you find that something to make fun of and get your jollies from, you don't have to answer to me for it.
Don't mock what you don't understand.

Question: Why do some Jews spell God, "G-d"?
Answer: God's name is treated with unusual care in Jewish tradition. The divine name, YHWH (spelled with the Hebrew letters yud, hey, vav, hey) is never pronounced. Traditionally, Jews read the word "Adonai" (often translated as "the Lord") whenever reading God's holiest name in Torah or in prayer. However, "Adonai" is not God's name.
Among some traditional Jews, speaking even the word "Adonai" is avoided outside of worship or study. This "stand-in" for God's name is itself replaced by "Ha-Shem" ("The Name"). The practice also has been extended to other Hebrew words associated with God. For example, the Hebrew word "Elohim," which means "God" (the title, not God's name), is pronounced "Elokim" outside of prayer and study.
In recent years, some Jews have carried the practice even further by abstaining from writing the English word "God" and substituting the spelling, "G-d" or "Gd." However, there is no prohibition in Jewish law from writing "God" in any language other than Hebrew. In fact, there is an often repeated story about Rabbi Joseph B. Soloveitchik, z"l, one of the foremost authorities of Modern Orthodoxy, who intentionally would write and erase the word "God" (in English) on the blackboard in front of his students at Yeshiva University in order to emphasize the fact this is not prohibited by Jewish law.
Some Reform Jews observe the custom of spelling God as "G-d." Most do not. In any case, it would be inappropriate and opposed to Jewish values to correct or shame a person for keeping this practice if it is done out of respect and reverence for God."
Jesus came pretty close to whipping some dudes in John 2I just cant imagine Jesus whipping or stoning someone.
Yet,we see his own laws said to do it.
Try to imagine a man held on the ground, and Jesus draws back that whip, and begins snapping the whip 39 times, shredding a mans back open.
I cetainly can't.Maybe others can.
Hi Guys,,,I am looking to see,do any of you think Jesus would pick a a whip, and whip a man 39 tmes?
Matt 5:43 You have heard that it was said, You shall love your neighbor and hate your enemy. 44 But I say to you, Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you,
This is where your understanding of who he was when he came is lacking. I was responding to the remark about the woman caught in adultery. The Sanhedrin were the ruling body. They were commissioned to uphold the laws, teach the laws and to judge the people regarding the keeping of the law. That is what Jesus meant when he said, 'They sit in Moses seat'. Moses was a Levite, the Levites were given this position to judge the people. Not those of the tribe of Judah. Why? He used himslef as an example of a judge, who would not justify the wicked, even though now he does.
To say that he does not hand out sentenses is odd at best,Is he not the judge of all?
Arent people under wrath right now? Rom 1:18.
He was speaking of that time and place during his ministry. The time you are speaking of with the woman was not the time, nor the place for him to sit on the Judgment throne. That is to come in the future. And if any man hear my words, and believe not, I judge him not: for I came not to judge the world, but to save the world.
30 And the times of this ignorance G-d winked at ; but now commandeth all men every where to repent : 31 Because he hath appointed a day, in the which he will judge the world in righteousness by that man whom he hath ordained ; whereof he hath given assurance unto all men, in that he hath raised him from the dead.
Do you think while he walked the earth,he would whip someone?Jesus came pretty close to whipping some dudes in John 2
Nahum 3:2 A sound of a whip and sound of a quaking wheel and horse galloping and chariot prancing.....
[Isaiah 28 "scourge"]
YoungLT) 2:13 And the passover of the Jews was nigh, and Jesus went up to Jerusalem,
14 and he found in the temple those selling oxen, and sheep, and doves, and the money-changers sitting,
15 and having made a whip of small cords, he put all forth out of the temple, also the sheep, and the oxen; and of the money-changers he poured out the coins, and the tables he overthrew,
Maybe your Bible leaves out the passage about Jesus driving out the money changers from the temple.
What do you think he did, just say you guys are bad and they all jumped up and left?
I think a bit of violence was likely involved. Can you visualize the lenders running away from Jesus and he turned over their tables of money and their chairs?
Maybe it looked something like this artist's depiction?

You are confusing the time he was here on earth 2000 years ago and he who is to come.
He said this himself:
He was speaking of that time and place during his ministry. The time you are speaking of with the woman was not the time, nor the place for him to sit on the Judgment throne. That is to come in the future.
Paul spoke of this way after the resurrection:
As you can see, I hope, from that last sentence is is after he is raised from the dead, not before.
This is interesting.Do you think while he walked the earth,he would whip someone?
Isn't he the same yesterday, and tomorrow?
I sure hope no one is smoking in here because with all the strawmen this place could go up real fast!
