  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

This is a follow up, to the 2 faced thread. LOL!

Joshua said..

1:8 This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success.

Did david? No..

If David loved the Torah so much, why didn't he want to die for it, to show his Love? Paul did for the Lord, because he loved Jesus, why didn't David volunteer to die?

Acts 18:13 Then Paul answered, “What are you doing, weeping and breaking my heart? For I am ready not only to be imprisoned but even to die in Jerusalem for the name of the Lord Jesus.”

Did david really love the Torah?

Spirit willing. Flesh weak.

Law weak in the flesh.

Flesh does not want to be subject to the Law, nor can it.

welp..yea..but boy oh boy, a little sex drive was greater than all this torah love?

I only ask, because somehow "Paul was 2 faced", according to another thread just started.

Was david wearing a mask?

At least paul said he did certain things for a reason, under inspiration, but wow, what about david's great torah love?

Odd sort of thing to say about King David, especially when G-ds own testimony about him is that 'he is a man after my own heart'...you don't get that sort of divine endorsement if you despise the Torah of G-d.

David committed a number of sins that have been preserved in Scripture for all to see....and eventually when after about a year Nathan the Prophet exposed his sin of pre-meditated murder, adultery and deception, David was mortified as he saw himself as G-d saw him, and he knew he had gone against G-d and His Torah.

The result was that He became deeply repentant, accepted G-ds judgment into His life, and got on with His life...loving G-d and loving Torah...and writing Psalms that are so poignant and real, that many of us are constantly blessed through them.

All of us can probably testify to loving G-d....but having sinned as Believers...does that mean we don't love G-d?

So of course David loved Torah..... (and Paul was not two-faced, but probably one of the most amazing human beings to have ever walked this Earth) :)

King David was also the king of the house of Judah....the Judeans......beware the woman in wolf's clothing!

Jeremiah 17:1 Sin of Y@huwdah written with a reed-pen of iron, in nail of corundum, being engrossed on tablet of the heart of them, and to horns of altars of ye,
[2 Thess 2:3,4 Luke 16:24]

Luke 16:24 And he sounding said "Father Abraham! be thou merciful to-me! and send Lazarus! that he should be dipping the tip of the finger of him of water and should be cooling down the tongue of me that I am being pained in this Flame"

Lazarus and the Rich Man - Here a little, there a little - Commentary
*snip*

The fact that the rich man has five brothers is a vital clue to his true symbolic identity. Judah, the progenitor of the Jews, was the son of Jacob through Leah Yeshua wanted those self-righteous Pharisees to know exactly who He was referring to with this parable.
This detail cements the identity of the rich man as the house of Judah, the Jews!

I understand, it is just that your fairness in this post, is not shared towards Paul, from other people here. Hopefully the others on the forum, who attack Paul, will slow down a bit. If they can't argue theology, then just leave it at that, and they should not whip the man who was already whipped alot for the gospel.

Thanks for your post.:)
