I'm just wondering if Darwin owned any apes or not?
I'm just wondering if Darwin owned any apes or not?
Is that a YES or NO?A simple google search would have answered your question far faster than any posters on this board could of.
As I understand it, the theory of evolution was stagnant, until Darwn wrote The Preservation of Favoured Races, which espoused the idea that man came from the apes of the Galapagos Islands (or something like that). What exactly does this topic have to do with Creation and Evolution?
I don't post on Google.Isn't that question better suited for Google?
But Solomon, an Old Testament scientist, did.He didn't own slaves, if that's what you're asking.
Have you seen the price of bananas today!?Owning apes is such a bother. It's hard to get a clear title, then there is the insurance, maintenance and licensing fees. Better to rent apes or at most hold a long term lease.
Have you seen the price of bananas today!?
Okay, thanks. You're right I forgot about upkeep!
However, to answer your question I would guess Darwin didn't own any apes. I know on the voyage of the Beagle, he brought back many specimens, but I don't think he brought back any sort of primate.
Perhaps they owned him, then?Darwin was an ape. Does that count?
Perhaps they owned him, then?
Seriously laconicstudent, why would you add to AoS' quote list?
Is that a YES or NO?
As I understand it, the theory of evolution was stagnant, until Darwn wrote [On the Origin of Species by Means of Natural Selection, or the] Preservation of Favoured Races [in the Struggle for Life], which espoused the idea that man came from the apes of the Galapagos Islands (or something like that).
His 'natural selection' provided the breakthrough technology to get evolution moving again.
Please fix that, or I'll ask administration to do it; thank you.Except you've even gone so far as to quote mine the title!

Ecclesiastes 1:12 I the Preacher was king over Israel in Jerusalem. No he wasn't a scientist, so he didn't own anything zoological, botanical etc.
Please fix that, or I'll ask administration to do it; thank you.
You can call it quot-mining the title, if you want, but you have no right to change what I said.
I have a right to post what I want, as long as I follow the rules here; and you Internet police don't impress me.
