Did Adam and Eve have blood before they sinned?

Very good question, I have had that same question come into my thoughts lately too.

The Spirit of the Lord can open up things for our understanding that we could not possibly come up with just by surface reading, or just settling for the literal interpretation. For The Word is Spirit and Life, anything else, IMO, is just a nice story.

to show blood (in the face), i.e. flush or turn rosy:--be (dyed, made) red (ruddy).

The presence of blood in the body is of man and probably not of God.

The Garden and the world before the Flood must have been a mystical/magical place that was nothing like our physical world. For example, it is not possible that a earth-like planet with oceans and our temp range and atmosphere would not have any rain. Water would evaporate from the oceans. When the planet wide humidity reached 100% it could not have failed to rain. 110% humidity is not possible.

Second, we now know that cloud cover produces global warming. <G> If it didn't on the origionally created earth, the physics of that world was not the physics of this world.

Who named Adam?
Who created Adam?
Who called everything He created in that day "good"?


G-d did!

G-d gave the name and designation, and I find it a bit ironic that the word "mankind" in Hebrew is Adom. (same as Adam's name in Hebrew)...

It reflects the fact he was made and was ruddy, as someone who is flushed - a reflection of that blood rushing to the face... of being made from red clay..

But we are also told of Y'shua:

1 Corinthians 15:

45 The Scriptures tell us, &#8220;The first man, Adam, became a living person.&#8221; But the last Adam&#8212;that is, Christ&#8212;is a life-giving Spirit. 46 What comes first is the natural body, then the spiritual body comes later. 47 Adam, the first man, was made from the dust of the earth, while Christ, the second man, came from heaven. 48 Earthly people are like the earthly man, and heavenly people are like the heavenly man. 49 Just as we are now like the earthly man, we will someday be like the heavenly man.

It is not that Y'shua was not fully man and fully G-d... but it is the illustration which rings true. By one man we found death, and by one man we found life eternal (Romans 5:12).

Our flesh and blood cannot inherit eternal life; but our fallen bodies can be quickened and will inherit eternal life if we are believers in Messiah.

We'll still have flesh and blood; but it will not be like what we have known since the death of flesh came upon all mankind in the Garden...

As the passage in 1 Corinthians 15 continues:

51 But let me reveal to you a wonderful secret. We will not all die, but we will all be transformed! 52 It will happen in a moment, in the blink of an eye, when the last trumpet is blown. For when the trumpet sounds, those who have died will be raised to live forever. And we who are living will also be transformed. 53 For our dying bodies must be transformed into bodies that will never die; our mortal bodies must be transformed into immortal bodies.

54 Then, when our dying bodies have been transformed into bodies that will never die, this Scripture will be fulfilled:
&#8220;Death is swallowed up in victory.
55 O death, where is your victory?
O death, where is your sting?[l]&#8221; 56 For sin is the sting that results in death, and the law gives sin its power. 57 But thank God! He gives us victory over sin and death through our Lord Jesus Christ.

Blood is not what changed us, we always had that.. as did every living being.

Life is in the blood. . . we are told this several times in Scripture.

Though the sacrifices in the earthly temple never brought redemptive work; they pointed to the pouring out of the blood of our Messiah and the sprinkling of His blood in the heavenly temple for the redemption of our souls.


So I really am unclear where the thread is going... color me confused

Are there any Jewish Hebrew English bible that use the Hebrew word for "'adam" while leaving the other english word for "man" as is? Thanks.

We are all familiar with the name "Adam" as found in the book of Genesis, but what does it really mean? Let us begin by looking at its roots. This word/name is a child root derived from the parent &#1491;&#1501; meaning, "blood". By placing the letter &#1488; in front of the parent root, the child root &#1488;&#1491;&#1501; is formed and is related in meaning to &#1491;&#1501; (blood).

By examing a few other words derived from the child root &#1488;&#1491;&#1501; we can see a common meaning in them all. The Hebrew word &#1488;&#1491;&#1501;&#1492; (adamah) is the feminine form of &#1488;&#1491;&#1501; meaning "ground" (see Genesis 2:7). The word/name &#1488;&#1491;&#1493;&#1501; (Edom) means "red". Each of these words have the common meaning of "red". Dam is the "red" blood, adamah is the "red" ground, edom is the color "red" and adam is the "red" man. There is one other connection between "adam" and "adamah" as seen in Genesis 2:7 which states that "the adam" was formed out of the "adamah".

In the ancient Hebrew world, a persons name was not simply an identifier but descriptive of one's character. As Adam was formed out of the ground, his name identifies his origins.

I'm sure they did have blood before they sinned and that Christ had blood when He was resurrected, too. A living person needs it to live, to take food and oxygen to the cells of the body.

Little Lamb, not as far as I know. Most translate over to Mankind which is the equivelant in most cases.

Life is in the blood. . . we are told this several times in Scripture.

This is often stated however the context of the scriptures is in reference to animals.

It is my understanding that our life is in the "image and likeness of God".

It is this life (ie human life/soul) that the Lord breathed into Adam, along with spiritual life. (the Hebrew reads "breath of lives", plural, I am told.)

Adam's body, biological life, was formed from the ground.

Hence, human beings were created body, soul and spirit. (originally that is, we are not born that way today, apart from Christ who was born the same as Adam was created.)
